Olympic Heating Inc. was established in 1926 by John Pursel in a shop on Roosevelt Way, in north Seattle. When Leland Pursel finished his tour of duty from the U.S. Army in 1946, he took on full time shop duties with his dad. In 1955, the shop moved to 15th Ave. N.E. in North Seattle. In 1970, Randall Pursel, the son of Lee, started working in the shop and learned the business from the ground up, and has continued until the present. Now Randall's two sons, Sean and Pat are employed at Olympic Heating, and have learned the trade also.
