I had an old cast iron boiler that was the original and very inefficient. I knew it had to go. The house I bought had a new hot water heater but I guess the original owner was too cheap to do it right and get a combo tankless system. Natural gas prices keep going up so I decided to have a combo tankless system put in. John Nuggent and Sons had the best quote by far. 3 of the other quotes I received used the same exact Navien system but were much more expensive.

Some say the cheaper the price the less quality of a product. Well not with with these guys. The installer and his crew did an amazing job. The system was very neatly installed and all the components very well organized. I am very pleased with the job they did and I will be using John Nugget for all my future big jobs. Next on my list is a generator.

This was our first cooling check with John Nugent. Jason did an outstanding job. He did a thorough job of testing AC systems and provided the detailed feedback. There were shrubs around A/C unit outside. He went beyond his duties to prune some shrubs himself to ensure the A/C unit is not being blocked. With severe weather on the increase these days, I decided to move forward on a perk I wanted for years, a whole house backup generator. J. Nugent wasn't the lowest bid for the job, but they were one of the few who actually had generators in stock and could get to the job months before other vendors. Seems everyone wants a generator these days and Generac is behind on producing enough. Local vendors swamped with jobs I find out, did my research. RJ was my salesperson, smart guy, no sales pressure, he was very professional and fairly quick to answer emails. RJ made sure I had the proper gas supply and meter for the job.

Job took 6 hours, crew onsite were polite and informative and laughed at my dad jokes. My only complaint was no call or email or text to confirm the big job the day before. So in conclusion John Nugent rocks, like Ted Nugent! (Dad joke). They will be my primary electrician now.

Nugent recently installed a whole house generator for us and one of the techs was Jake Harrington. The crew did a masterful job despite some troublesome weather. Since then Jake has done outstanding follow-up work for us and our neighbor, who also received a Nugent-installed generator. What truly has made Jake a standout for us is how he has responded to the failures of a generator component in both our units, how he identified the problem (bad hardware) and the lengths he went to to provide replacements and notification to the manufacturer. Techs like Jake are a credit to the industry and underline our confidence in Nugent.

I had an issue where my furnace was intermittently shutting off the heat - it was a really strange issue where it would work sometimes and heat would emanate and then sometimes it wouldn't, even if the thermostat was freezing cold. The technician, Jason, came and surmised after analyzing the furnace that there weren't issues with the furnace itself. He believed there were condensation issues and worked on the condensation pipe, cutting it to facilitate proper clearing. Unfortunately, after he left, the issue continued.

I called John Nugent and they sent him back. We were stumped. He and I had a conversation and we followed the pipe through my house to the outside - then he figured out what the issue was! It was a little tricky to diagnose, but Jason was very patient and took the time to try to explain his thinking on the problem as our thinking evolved on the issue. I had a really good experience with John Nugent, and would have them back again as a result.
