The Energy Star rating is now 14.5 seer, but $300 of the $500 rebate requires 16 SEER for AC systems. Systems must meet ALL of the requirements such as for a heat pump it must be a minimum of 15 SEER, 12.5 EER, and 8.5 HSPF or greater. Learn more by visiting the Energy Star Website.
