Sturdevant Air Conditioning

We had Sturtevants install a new central AC in our home and they did an excellent job from start to finish. Artie was timely with the proposal and addressed all of our questions and Joshua and his crew were amazing with the actual install. They were timely yet not rushed and patient with all of our questions. We will continue to call on Sturtevants for all of our AC needs.

The service technician, Jerry, did excellent work. He moved small furniture and lamps carefully and left everything the the way it was before servicing. He was very thorough cleaning each unit. Terrible experience with this company. After spending over $1000 just for the diagnostics, Sturdevant estimated over $4200 additionally for repair (mind you their estimate did not include repair of remote receiver board and I had to remind them of this portion of repair). Customer service is awful. I had to call them repeatedly for updates. I went with another company and had an entirely new system installed for less that the cost of repairing the old one. All in all, I feel dirtier after dealing with Sturdevant and would not recommend them to anyone unless they want to spend triple the money and chase them down for service.

We were very happy with Artie, who came to the condo, took pictures and sent me the pictures to approve. Andy and John showed up on the agreed upon date and time. They were super nice, courteous and respectful. We particularly enjoyed working along side them, they were fun, enjoyed their work and had fun at the same time.

Thank you for doing our maintenance and replacing the belt in a timely manner. Kainalu was professional and quick with his work. Janet was also very nice and helpful in coordinating our appointments. My bedroom/ office Mitsubishi wall AC unit was attacked by a gecko. Gecko got fried on circuit board. Within 36 hours of calling for service, a very happy knowledgeable service guy arrived and diagnosed problem. I got the estimate emailed to me the next day. Online initial payment, and then 4.5 days for parts (amazingly quick given slower shipping these days) to arrive, then a day for install by another wonderful tech. This company is FABULOUS and have all my business going forward. They did what they said they would when they said they would do it.

The service technician (Jerry) was awesome. He was courteous, efficient, and friendly. everything we could have hoped for in a technician. Not only did he perform the quarterly service, but he also fixed the overall operation issue with the AC unit (it stopped cooling the night before). Sturdevant AC is the best! We've owned our home on Maui for over 15 years and Sturdevant provided the best service for central AC we have experienced. Great company and great people!

Alex performed the maintenance on our home AC system August 25. Our system had shut down 10 days earlier when the AC drain line became plugged. We had opened the line and got the system functioning but we wanted to have the air handler cleaned and the AC drain line flushed by a professional. Alex was exceptional. He arrived on time, worked quickly, and took the time to educate us on system maintenance and drain line maintenance.

We've told Sturdevant that Alex is quite an asset to their firm. He has both strong technical skills and strong customer service skills. He provided service that clearly exceeded our expectations.

We call Studervant for replacement of our corroded cooling system and rusting fan hence Cody was scheduled to be at the our home between 8 and 9 am however he sent Julius and he showed up at 1030 am so I'm a little unhappy. I mentioned to the staff office hence they tell me Julius was scheduled to be at our home at 1030! In anyway it's the Maui attitude. The work was great and Julius was knowledgeable and fix the repair.

Another Mitsubishi unit has shorted out due to the friendly gecko. Even though this is the third time one of my units has been shorted out because of the same issue, upon calling Sturdevant they say they need to send a technician out to diagnose the problem. They then want to have you schedule another technician after they act like they've never seen this issue before.

So you will have to pay the first trip charge, plus the cost of replacing the fried circuit board, which is another $1000. A company I would advise people to skip to avoid unnecessary regret.

We recently had new air-conditioning installed and we are so thrilled with the company! Matt our project manager was professional and answered every question we asked with clarity and politeness. Our installers Andy and Josh were AWESOME, they were punctual, professional and made the whole experience pleasant! Thank you to Chris who made sure we had all the proper equipment for the job! Frank, A/C Tech, is very pleasant and thorough and informed us of what he was doing. He told us how our a/c unit was functioning and what it needed. Great service we've had with Sturdevant for 16 years.

This was a game changing decision. I'm kicking my self thinking why haven't I gotten air conditioning sooner. The team at Sturdevant Air were great. Steve, the owner, Doug and Justin, the install team are real professionals. The install team did a quality install, referred me to a great product, were extremely knowledgeable in regards to upgrading electrical components and ac placement.

If you haven't installed AC yet, what are you waiting for? I wish I did it 10 years ago. When considering who to assist you in this upgrade to your home give these guys a call. They will do it right and you won't have any regrets.

Would not recommend. Paid 308$ and the first time they came out they just sprayed a chemical and called it good. Didn't even take the blower wheel out. Called them and said hey it said you took the blower wheel out on the invoice and they didn't. So they apologized. Sent a different guy out to do a better job but still mostly sprayed it off with a hose.

No chemical and did not use a bib and actually flush the system out. They gave a bunch of excuses about how they did the best they could but each visit was only a few minutes. Maybe 30 minutes total on the second time. I ended up complaining again and getting my money back and went with cooling Hawaii. They came out put a bib on the units and flushed them.

The water coming out was brown and nasty. They flushed with a chemical til it ran clear. They purged the drain line a s ran chemicals down it. They then rinsed with water and just all around was a way better job for the same price. They also gave us a 100$ off our power bill. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Instead go with cooling Hawaii. Way better job. Actually smell fresh again.

They'll send a young employee(puppet)to come out, diagnose the problem, but the tech tells you to call the office to make another appt. without fixing the issue. You have to call the office and talk with Lisa. If you talk to Lisa you can count on never getting a call or email back from the manager she keeps talking about. Called 4x and Lisa the Robot will tell you the same thing every time. No email no phone call and 0 proactive results. Go to All Temp, they called back in 1 day and my appt is set up. Yo, Sturdevent employees, wake up!

So grateful to find a dependable & experienced AC company! We have had such great experiences with both our home & business units. They are definitely busy, but they are worth the wait. We have used other companies and ended up with expensive repair after repair only to still have issues. There techs are clean & respectful, and do a great job! Office staff is amazing too!

Everyone was so friendly from the first call to the billing department. Marco (Marcus) our technician was extremely informative. He was very professional, worked quickly and was extremely efficient. Our system is going strong and we are comfortable once again. Mahalo to the whole team.

Sturdevant came out to diagnose/repair my residential A/C system. After the visit, it took 2 days to get a bill. It took a week to get an assessment of what was wrong. It took 2 weeks to get an estimate to repair. Their estimate to replace a 4 ton condenser was over $4000 and $15,000 to replace the condenser unit and inside air handler. I contacted another vendor and replaced the failed condenser associated parts for $2000. Sturdevant's customer service was truly lax and their pricing was simply outrageous.

Wow! I am a business owner and I have never seen or heard a business turnaway work. Asked me to call back in October, really?

II called them 3 times to set up an appointment to service my A/C as they were recommended by our builder and a neighbor. The receptionist, Lisa, said she would have the appointment coordinator call me, they never did and it's been 11 days! It would have been the right thing to do (Pono) to simply call and say they were very busy or that they couldn't get out to me anytime soon. Just ignoring people is bad for business and I will make sure the people who referred me know that this company is not reliable.

We installed two split systems for our house and the install was professional. The two techs were on time and did an excellent job. The new units are blessing during these hot summer month and was properly designed for our dining room, living room and master bedroom. Al and Earl

Everything Half Assed. Friendly Sales guy but installation was VERY SLOPPY, and follow up non existent. Wall unit was hung crooked, as was control panel. Cover to breaker box bypass was left unsecured, falls of ((broken) pan of condenser unit was left in footpath of lanai with razor sharp sheet metal corners. AC works, keeps the place cool but. installation team was seemingly rushing or incompetent.

Sturdevant installed my A/C in my condo in Maui. They were higher priced than other installers but their customer service is unsurpassed. So it was worth it. I was a little disappointed in the amount of time it took for them to complete the job but the end result was amazing. A job well done!

I called sturdevent yesterday. Bridget in the office called me back right away. That was something that I was impressed by as most companies don't even return their calls. She was courteous and knowledgeable And was able to give me an estimate over the phone of servicing my system. Daniel was the tech that came out and did the work. He was both kind, knowledgeable and efficient. I was so impressed that I asked them to put me on a quarterly schedule. Thank you Sturdevandt for a great job!

The order and wait time for our new Rheem AC unit was well worth it. Alex & Anton were our worker-bees and despite heat beyond belief, they powered through it all. The installation of the new unit required dismantling the old heat exchange unit and outside compressor unit. That required access to our crawl space in the garage attic! It reached 140 degrees and our outdoors temperature was already a sweltering 90 degrees with high humidity! Miserable conditions!

They mustered through it and completed the job. I rewarded them with homemade ice cream at the end. Great workers, polite, concerned with completing, and tidy. Thank you everyone at Sturdevant!

I had the pleasure of having Marcos and Steve to come out to my home and fix a warranty problem. I know they take pride in their work because even if it took them longer they made sure that our Air Conditioning was up and working properly. They had their families waiting at home for them, but they still made sure that our unit was running well. They noticed that something was not quite right and took apart the machine again to pin point the problem.

They did not just up and leave. They were very knowledgable and I would recommend Sturdevant to anyone that needs service. Thank you also to John for helping me with our warranty issues and Lori with scheduling =

They seem to be ok initially. However anything fix by them only works for about 2 to 3 months. Hidden costs each and every time. We live in a spencer homes sub-division and the number on the thermostat was Sturevant, so I called them. Around 3-5 times they have came out. Every single time it cost a lot more than they suggested. Paid the amount stated.

However the air-conditioner would only work a few months at best. As you guess once again my air conditioner does not work at all. This is an air-conditioner that is less than 9 years old and the filter cleaned on regular basis. Currently looking for any other repair shops can / will not give any more money to Sturdevent!

We had to start a maintenance program for our home's central a/c. Gave Sturdevant a call because I saw them servicing most of our neighbor's units. MAINTENANCE: They offer a quarterly maintenance plan. I receive a reminder call, phone them back and book. The window they give is usually 2-hours and normally arrive within the first hour. They service the outdoor compressor as well as the indoor blower. PAYMENT: Because I have a credit card on file from the first visit, I get a courtesy email for credit card charge authorization. TIP: They even send out discount coupons once in a while, good for service calls.
