These guys were great! They had me on the schedule super quick, only a day after I called. They were very professional and explained everything to me. Don and Jordan were great and did a great job fixing up our outdoor faucet. Thanks so much for the help! We can finally enjoy our swamp cooler! The only reason I'm rating this a 4, I could rate it lower but my plumber did an excellent job and I don't want him to get dinged for it. He was amazing once he finally got to my house. He got the project done, and was very efficient. I had issues with the company actually getting a plumber there for an appointment I scheduled a month in advanced.

The people on the phone were always very nice but the company tried to reschedule me without asking, and without giving me at least 24 to 48 hours notice. I had confirmed my appointment 24 hours before, and also days before. My appointment kept getting pushed back and no one was communicating with me. I had to keep calling.

I heard about Scott Hale on the radio from hell show, and when it came to us thinking of remodeling our kitchen they were the first person to come to mind so I thought I'd give them a call. I have been more than impressed with the quality of customer service I have received from this company. We first started using them a few weeks ago to get a quote on moving a sink in our kitchen. Patrick was super kind and super knowledgeable.

He made sure that we understood what was happening, what would happen if we did move the sink, and gave 2 different options that we could choose from as a quote. Come to this week we needed to get our AC tuned up, and came to the conclusion that our AC is at the end of its lifespan and needed to get a new one. Shea was super awesome and explained all of our options to us especially with a purchase quite that large.

He made sure that we were comfortable and gave us different options to choose from that would fit our family the best. Today was installation day! Justin came out to put in the new AC in the new furnace that we purchased. Our furnace is in our ceiling, and he was able to remove the old system and put the new system in thoroughly. I work from home, and they were very courteous about their noise level.

He was very knowledgeable about explaining the different things that needed to happen and explained what would happen next. Overall I am super impressed with the customer service that these three gentlemen portrayed during each visit. I never once feel pressured into doing something I didn't want to do, I always had options presented to me, and felt like they had our best interest in mind. 10/10, would give a hundred stars if I could.

I've been using Scott Hale for the last few years, and I've never once been disappointed. Their responsive communication, quality service, and professionalism make them stand out from other service providers. Unfortunately, the industry is saturated with service providers that seem to try to delay working on your projects for as long as possible and never show up when they say they will. I've never had this problem with Scott Hale. They have always scheduled a technician to come out ASAP and have the job done usually within the day.

Had them come out to just do a simple AC Tune-up based on some SPP program they sold me on. That was my first mistake. Rafael came out for the appointment. Neither my wife or I like Rafael. He was brash, rude, and unprofessional. After looking at our 2 AC units he approached my wife and says there are 2 things. One is mandatory and the other is optional.

She of course said to do just the mandatory that we will research the optional service, and he said under his breath even though my wife could still hear "I went to school I know what the f#%$ I am talking about". He also dropped the F word in my basement when he was looking at my AC damper system. He seemed utterly confused like he had never seen one before.

Either way he was toying around with the damper system that I paid $4k to have installed. He said well hopefully this doesn't short it as he kept unplugging and plugging wires in and out of it. Then he left and took payment over phone which was strange. Did he keep my credit card number that was said over the phone? Later that evening it began to get warm up stairs.

Later to find out that our AC has been on for hours but the temp is not dropping. Warm air if coming from the vents. We went from have a working AC units to non-working AC units after using Scott Hales SPP service. I texted the number that they texted me on a couple time informing of my issues. No response whatsoever after 16 hours. I then call them and then they want to charge me $109 for them to come out and fix what they had broken. DO NOT USE SCOTT HALE AND CERTAINLY DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THEIR MONTHLY PROGRAM. I am now needing to do a chargeback on my card.

They absolutely blew me away with how professional they were, and how they really made an extra effort to ensure I had my cracked pipe replaced under my short deadline. They were responsive, and spent extra time finding someone to come out and assist me right away. Rhett was absolutely amazing! He was very kind, professional, and efficient. Great work, and they were so accommodating to my requests and right deadline. I will only be using Scott Hale from now on, and recommending them to everyone.

See the previous one. We all like to make money. Don't you think this is way too much? Fortunately I have a niece to help me. I talked to my bishop. He said don't bother next time. The church members will be happy to do it for anyone who needs help. Thank you scott.

Scott Hale has absolutely always been terrific to work with! I've utilized the services of Scott Hale across two different houses over the past decade and I'm never disappointed. In the house that we purchased in May, they put in a new air conditioner, a new furnace, and a new water heater! Unfortunately for us, our air conditioner died just days before our wedding in the backyard.

They were very helpful and understanding, and they managed to get the air conditioner installed before the wedding! We've had to have a lot of work done on the house we're living in now, but Scott Hale always stands out as being very communicative, dependable, professional, and providing good quality work. In fact, I tried to get them to do some work removing some old duct work in the attic because they're so much more dependable than other service providers! However, they didn't hesitate to communicate that that project was outside of their scope, which I appreciated. I brought up that project with another company, they said they'd send me a quote, and they never did. Scott Hale is one of the best of the best!

Overall fantastic customer service and great experience! Scott Hale responded immediately to a leak we had in our main water line valve and came to our home to fix the issue within hours. Our Technician, Don Day, was incredible to work with - He was professional, kind, patient, and he fixed the issue in just a few hours. Their pricing was reasonable and transparent. I will definitely be calling Scott Hale again whenever we have another plumbing issue.

Tyler Thompson was knowledgeable, diligent, respectful and thoughtful. He repaired the pipes under both by bathroom sinks. Discovered my leak was caused by it being installed upside down! He reversed the part and cut the pipe down to a better size and tightened it! Voila! It was stable for the very first time! I asked him to check my other bathroom and that too had the same issue.

The other two sinks in the house were fine. He also replaced a stripped non functioning hose bib outside. Now I have water near my front porch! Very, very happy! Thank you Tyler it was a pleasure to see a professional at work. Will confidently call on you again should I have any plumbing issues in the future.

My sister called out Scott Hale Plumbing to repair the furnace. They got there and before even looking said it might need to be replaced. Looked at the furnace and said it needed to be replaced and said to replace the air conditioner. He said the furnace is too big for the house and that was the problem. Told them we would wait. Had another company come out today. Changed the filter and cleaned the sensor and it works fine.

We were working on adding a kitchen to our basement. We had received bids from several companies but none of them were as efficient or as reassuring as Scott Hale Plumbing! Brenden came out to our home to install the drain line and plumbing needed for a sink and dishwasher. He was thorough, knowledgable, and he got the job done much faster than we anticipated.

He took the time to answer our questions and to walk us through the installation process. Best of all, he did not leave a mess behind! Thank you Brenden, what a wonderful experience.

It is unfortunate I have to give this company even one star. Let me start by saying I have been a client for approximately 20 years, and have had two businesses, two houses, one condo and two rental units under contract in the past. I was always happy with their service, even though they were expensive and at times I questioned some of their diagnoses. However, they have outgrown their ability to manage their business.

I have been trying to get service on a roof top unit on one of our rental units since Dec 9. Initially, the work was postponed due to it being wet (so the liability too high), which I was patient with. They told me they'd get me on the schedule as soon as there was a nice day. Unfortunately, several of those nice days have come and gone, and the appointment has been constantly cancelled and moved, often without notice.

The final straw occurred today. The most recent appointment was yesterday between 1:30 and 3:00 (scheduled on the phone with a woman named Tiffany). When I sent a note last night to my tenant (who had taken the day off work to meet the worker) to ask how things had gone, he said they never showed up. I immediately called the company and spoke to Nichole who told me someone had talked to my tenant and they had agreed to reschedule next Monday between 12-3.

That surprised me, so I talked to my tenant again, who told me the last person he talked to was Tiffany on Monday. So, Nichole lied to my face, by telling me they had talked to my tenant. I called back and asked to speak to a manager. When I spoke to Kathy and told her of the situation, she apologized (she is at least professional) and said that they only have one guy who can be on a 30 ft ladder, and that he's been out sick the last week (though, of course, this all started on 12/8 and it's now 12/23).

When I asked her about the discussion between my tenant and Tiffany, she couldn't explain it. She said that because we know Scott and his wife, and because we'd been long-term customers they didn't want to lose our business (same thing she told me two weeks ago). But, I've had it. I'll never use them again. And I would warn ANYONE, that this firm is nothing but trouble. They can't handle the workload they've built, they are very expensive, they are absolutely NOT reliable, and today, they lied to my face.

George and Harley were absolutely wonderful today, fixing a leak in my bathroom. However, I agree with other reviews that the prices that Hale is now charging are well over the price it should actually cost. I find this so disappointing as I have used and supported this company for the last 35 years. If you can get George and Harley to do the work, you're in great hands. However, I'd certainly recommend price shopping, which is what I'll be doing in the future.

They charged my great grandparents, who are in their 90s, $830 to install two faucets. My grandparents purchased the faucets from Home Depot. The job took 1.5 hours. These people are preying on elderly people. We spoke with the manager and he said they received a $100 discount because they were a loyal customer. Could you imagine paying $930 for someone to install 2 faucets? See the description of work on the receipt. It's all there.

Used them twice now for a a/c replacement and a new furnace. Very quick to respond. And efficient repairs on the spot. Great staff to work with especially Josh and the rest of the crew. They do good work, not cheap work. Will keep them on my speed dial. Thanks guy's. W. Taylor

They rooted my drain charged me so much money for 15 minutes of work. It clogged back up in 3 days. They wouldn't come back and fix it. We went to Lowe's paid 350 dollars for our own rooter my husband rooted it. He is not a professional and we have had no problem with it since. It has been over a month Hale plumbing has terrible customer service and terrible job performance

Make sure to shop around and get multiple bids! Scott Hale Plumbing quoted me $3000 on a job that should cost under $500. Either Scott Hale Plumbing isn't very adept at their profession or they have very ethically questionable practices. They tried to grossly overcharge me (based on other reviews it seems to be a common occurrence). I wanted to install a gas line into the kitchen to switch to a gas stovetop.

They told me I would need to install 4 new regulators (1 for each appliance) and upgrade the gas meter through Dominion energy which would take 4-6 weeks for permits and cost $2900. They also offered me a faster option that didn't require permits but would cost $3200. It didn't feel right so I had someone I knew from Dominion come take a look at it and he said he can't comment on contractor quotes but all I would need is 1 regulator and T off the main line to go straight to the kitchen just above the utility room.

He said it was a fairly straight forward job, would require 1 regulator ($25-$50) and about 10 feet of black pipe ($20). I wouldn't need to get permits and it could be done within a couple of hours. Rough Estimate Factors and Assumptions: -Not a complex job -Standard hourly rate of $100 -Round up and extra 1.5 hrs to be safe so 3.5 hours -Not factoring in access to discounted products they may have -Rounding up to compensate for taxes TOTALS Parts: $100 Labor: $350 Total Estimated Market Value: $450

After learning I was offended by Scott Hale plumbing grossly overcharging me, Scott commented on my Yelp review that he's sorry I was dissatisfied and said he'd like to talk with me personally, but he provided no contact information. He has my contact information but didn't contact me. Bad business followed by useless lip service. Not impressed. Reduced my three star rating to two star.

Their $139 estimates turn out to be $460 something for a kitchen sink, the sink backed up again few days after their work. They said they don't guarantee their work so we had to call another plumber to open the sink. I don't recommend this company to anyone

Brandon Shields from Scott Hale: Plumbing, Heating & Air totally exceeded our expectations! He was wonderful. --Very professional, experienced, and kind. He was also very respectful of my home & pets, and quite easy to talk to. We couldn't have asked for a better plumber. We needed some valves replaced in a hurry so we could install our new washing machine which was scheduled to be delivered the same day we had this service. Scott Hale was very responsive to our needs and scheduled a plumber to come out within 24 hours--without charging us an expedite fee! Brandon arrived on time and worked efficiently.

I very much appreciated how he quoted me two different prices for the repair and explained to me in layman's terms what the difference was and which would be better in the long run. Since the price for this more expensive option seemed fair and still below what we expected to pay, I had no problem taking his advice. He also told us about other things in our home that could potentially be a problem in the future and made recommendations that would save us time, money, and a big hassle latter on. Brandon really knew what he was doing.

And because he made his recommendations without being pushy or threatening, (which many service people are), I had no problem trusting his advice or considering taking action on exactly what he said. He represented his company well and I will definitely hire him again when we decide to schedule other maintenance and repairs. He even installed our new washer for us, free of charge, when it was delivered early and the delivery guys wouldn't wait a few minutes for him to finish what he was doing. Brandon really went above and beyond for us and we appreciate him.

This company's pricing is fair and affordable, their availability and speed of service is great, and the service their employees provide is outstanding! Overall, we had a wonderful experience with this Scott Hale: Plumbing, Heating, & Air and would recommend them to anyone.

I have tried and tried to be happy with this company and have given them multiple chances but the scheduling process is terrible. They sell you a membership that says you will be a priority but I never felt prioritized. They can never give a set time that they will show up. They narrow it down to morning or afternoon and then don't even call you when they are not able to show up.

I have asked them multiple times to call me 30 minutes before they can show up. So this time they call but I can't call them back for 25 minutes because I am working and so even though it is only 4:30 pm they tell me that I will have to reschedule. I had requested to be the last appointment of the day. We all have busy lives and I'm not waiting around for them any longer. Mining on! I'm done. No more chances!

Buyer beware! Last spring I scheduled our annual sewer pipe flush. About $8000 later we have new plumbing running to the city. The good news is that the flush and scope revealed a serious issue that we had repaired before it was a catastrophe. The bad news is that, in order to get 10% off of that major repair, the technician talked me into an annual service plan. Mistake!

In the past year I was able to get a technician to my house one time. The appt was to have my heating systems 'maintained'. The technician did absolutely nothing - he didn't even replace the filter. He did however, explain to me that the heater needed to be totally replaced and gave me a quote. Needless to say, my heater is fine and though nearing the predicted life expectancy, is working just fine.

Perhaps the reason it's working so well is because I have it maintained annually? Of course it is. And most recently, a scheduler from Scott Hale called to schedule a water heater flush for my 8 month old tankless water heater. I was so impressed! Sadly, no one showed up for the appointment, and no one ever contacted me to reschedule. When I called today and inquired, there was no apology, no explanation and the receptionist was surprised to hear that I was unhappy.

I asked when my annual plan expired and she explained that 'it never expires'. They just bill me to the credit card I used to pay the $8000. So, I've now paid far more than the 10% I supposedly saved, have not one home visit that provided no service, and my water heater has not been flushed (yes, tankless water heaters do get flushed). Yes, I canceled my 'annual membership'. No, I can not recommend ScottHale. What a rip-off. My neighbors warned me but I didn't listen.

There's nothing like noticing a flood in your basement on a Saturday less than a week before Christmas! I was on the verge of having a panic attack wondering what we would do without water but thank goodness we called Scott Hale Plumbing! We got help within just a couple of hours. The plumber even showed up earlier than expected, wore a mask (due to the pandemic) and protected the carpet. And now I can enjoy a nice hot bath tonight thanks to our new water heater!

The tech showed up and basically refused to even look at my water heater. He then proceeded to argue with my adult son about the age of the water heater. He kept saying my son was wrong, that it was at least 6 years old, not the 3 we were saying it was. if he had bothered to even look at the unit, he would have seen the made date that shows it isn't even 3 years old! He said we needed a brand new one and it would be $2500! He was extremely rude and trying to rip me off. Stay away from these guys.

Just had a technician at our home to service our heaters. I walked into our kitchen and the technician was standing at our kitchen island with one of my prescription bottles in his hand, looking at the bottle. I startled him and he put Also, took the quote he gave me and got it quoted out for half the price at a competitor over the phone. Do yourself a favor and take their quotes and call a competitor with the exact list of what needs to be done. You'll save yourself some money. And make sure to keep their technicians in sight so they don't rummage through your items.

I'm ok with someone making a profit. But marking up parts 10 x's retail is a little much. I called to discuss the charge and was told "Chris S." would call me back and explain. I guess Chris was too busy selling $25 parts for $250 to senior citizens. You got our money this time but never again. I see this scenario in other reviews. It must be their business model.
