Troubleshooting tips available
1. Clean and Check Gas Burners - To ensure smooth ignition, burner flames are observed for proper height, color, and alignment of burning
2. Clean and Check Pilot and Pilot Tube - The pilot flame needs to be checked to make sure that it is not abnormally large or small. If too large, it wastes gas and makes the system dirty. Too small, and it can affect the system start-up, causing a no-heat condition.
3. Check Flame Baffle (or Ribbons) - The flame baffle or ribbon spreads flame evenly across the entire heat exchanger length. If misaligned, plugged with rust and dirt, or cracked, it improperly spreads flame, creating hot spots in the heat exchanger, which can cause sooting, or even cracks in the metal. It also takes longer to heat the home, because it takes longer to heat up the furnace.

Jordan called early and got the work done quickly. He was courteous and friendly, too. He explained the operation of the new thermostat he installed before he left. Excellent service.

The Best Austin Air Conditioning & Heating Company!! Corey came out Friday night after hours and had our air conditioner temporarily up and running. Due to the age and many problems he suggested and quoted a new system. John and Gary were here the next day installing our new unit ...
We had a new hva/c system installed in 3/16. The system has been great, Precision has been great with warranty service and routine service. Professional, courteous and efficient.
My a/c had not been working well for a while now, and this summer it got worse, having to spend a night in the hospital for heat exhaustion. Chris was the first tech out and found my unit to be in bad shape. They said they would look for a used unit to replace mine and today Joel and Thomas installed it and it's cooling my house down as we speak! Highly recommend! Professional, courteous, experienced people that deserve your business. Kudos to the office staff as well. Calls were handed professionally and timely call backs. These people are heroes in my eyes and life savers! THANK YOU!!!!
My husband and I had problems with our heater. The gentlemen from Precision came out and took care of it . They were professional and friendly. They order the part for our heater unit and had it completely fix within two days. I would highly recommend this company to anyone. Thank you Precision, Ray and Bob.
Thank you so much. Heat went out on New Year's Eve and they came right out. Our service man Jose Sanchez was awesome. Fixed the issue quick and was so nice! Would for sure call them again.
Precision Heating & Air is the best. When I was looking for quotes for a new AC they were able to see me the same day. Troy M. arrived to my house at the scheduled time, he was polite, professional, and honest. I didn't feel like I was being sold a unit I didn't need. We chose this company because they had an excellent AC unit and they were our cheapest quote. They arrived the next day to install our new AC. The installers, Alex and Jose were professional, polite, and respectful of my home. Buying a new AC is stressful and can be costly, but Precision Heating and Air took very good care of us and we highly recommend them to anyone else that comes our way.
I am a repeat customer of Precision Heating & Air. I have subscribed to their program to do a summer and winter check on my system for a few years now, and could not be more pleased. I returned home today from a week away, found my house hot, made a quick call to Precision, and Junior arrived within 30 minutes. My house is cool this evening, and I am a happy camper. THANK YOU, Precision!
Our AC died on a Saturday morning. By Monday when the parts supplier was actually open, only Precision was able to get to our place AND order the parts we needed on that same day. AC was up and running by Tuesday morning. Ryan, our technician, was very personable and patient with getting what we needed and fixing it quickly. He operated like an independent contractor, fully owning all aspects of our repair from start to finish. Thank you guys!

Most of us spend much of our time indoors. Unfortunately, indoor air is far more polluted than outdoor air. According to the EPA, indoor air contains two to five times -and on occasion, as much as 100 times - more contaminants than outdoor air. The air that we breathe in our homes and offices contains pollutants (such as chemicals, gases, and living organisms like mold and pests) which can put us at risk for health problems.

Commercial HVAC (heating, ventilating, and air conditioning) systems, essential to the comfort of all indoor work environments, represent 40% of the electricity utilized in commercial buildings across the country. The measures outlined below can result in improved HVAC performance and efficiency, as well as a significant reduction in energy cost. Before making the decision to replace your HVAC system, you may want to consider taking steps to reduce maximize your current (and any future) system's efficiency.
All HVAC systems are designed to operate at temperatures at or below 95 degrees and, ideally, last an average of 12-15 years. In Texas, temperatures above 95 degrees are typical in the summer months, systems often begin to fail at between eight to ten years. So, when should an HVAC system be replaced? Your air conditioner stops working, and you discover that the condenser fan motor (which removes heat from the condenser) has failed. The cost to repair the 11-year old system is $700. If your HVAC system has not received routine maintenance, the condenser fan motor failure may be the first of many system issues.
