I cannot say enough about Franklin and team! He was so present and always made time to listen and explain and engage with me as I had questions come up. He clearly had control of the the project from start to finish. A great representative of IMS. For an installation technician, he was impressively engaging and effortlessly communicative about the process.

He should be in sales. Justin was incredibly attentive and thorough and made me feel like my home was cared for and respected. Caleb came in to work in the attic and he was quick and efficient and a pro.

I would like to thank Dylan who provided the services listed above. He took the time to explain any questions we had and was very professional. After Dylan provided the necessary work on our HVAC system it preformed better than it had in a long while. I would highly recommending that you ask for Dylan to come and provide the service requested. I know we will.

I moved into a new build that they had done the heating on. I requested a quote to put the air conditioning and they stated they did not need to come out. They emailed me a quote and I set up the appointment and put the deposit down. When they got to my house they told me they do not do concrete pads, and that they were going to charge me extra for having to level out the grade (which they should have already known).

So I called they supervisor who stated "I do know on those Journey homes there is quite a grade on the side" Well if you knew why am I paying extra when you could have come out and quoted me appropriately. Beware. Their quotes are good because they don't do half the work you expect done.

Technician arrived at the beginning of the indicated time range. Scheduled service was just standard maintenance of my furnace. I inquired about replacing my thermostat for one that I could control with my phone. He had parts in his truck and was able to make the installation immediately. Technician was friendly, efficient, and helpful. Great service overall.

Again exactly same model. )They installed next day. (MiKE S). Just fantastic service. Thanks Service: Heating system installation

I recently had my 20 year old Carrier furnace replaced with a new 97% efficient Carrier furnace and AC coil The installers did a very professional job. They were on time, answered all my questions, and cleaned up after themselves. I would definitely use them again and would highly recommend them. PS they replaced my Outdoor AC unit a few years back, and sent a team out on the 4th of July. That's service!

IMS installed our heating and air conditioning systems several years back. They have been a wonderful company! Very professional, courteous, and I have really liked the service people that have come to the house to do the scheduled maintenance. Elijah is fantastic; he's very thorough, and is a very nice person to work with. Highly recommend!

IMS came out and gave me a very good bid. The equipment is great and I appreciated the tiers of options. Franklin came to my house to do the install and was so courteous and professional. He left my house cleaner than we do. He knew all the tricks and showed me how to use the new thermostat and other items that were installed. I would recommend their service to anyone.

IMS installed the HVAC in my new home in Berthoud in the fall of 2016. I should have been concerned, first was the failure to put vents in one of the bedrooms, then I learned the "damper" system wasn't active. I will say that IMS was very responsive in fixing the issues and paying to replace the ceiling that needed to be removed to install a vent.

Now it is spring 2021, and with it comes a failed Carrier AC unit, the first day I turn it on. Coming from AZ, I understand they work hard and do fail. Four summers of work in Colorado seem a little quick. The unit was "Charged" in the summer of 2017. Since it is taking weeks to get repairs, either through my home warranty or even self-pay, I decided to look at the capacitor, as it is something I can replace.

What I found was surprising. The electrical components are corroded and rusted. It appears the cover plate was not installed properly, and water from rain and snowmelt have done a great job. One would think it would have a gasket or perhaps be sealed. I could have just had bad luck or a very poor installer based upon the high reviews of others.

On Friday, I scheduled seasonal service for my furnace. I was told they would be there on Tuesday between 9:00 and 12:00. At 12:15 on Tuesday I had received neither a visit nor a courtesy call. I phoned the office to inform them of this. The person on the phone was unable to give me any info on the whereabouts of the technician and told me they would call me when they knew something.

I informed her that I would have to reschedule and would call back when I could access my calendar. Needless to say, I didn't call. I will be looking elsewhere for service.

We were very happy with our service from IMS. Aaron spent over an hour with us explaining how we could install/modify our HVAC system to better cool our basement. He was also very conscientious about wearing a mask and shoe protection when he entered our home. We had Franklin installed an ionizer in our HVAC system and noticed the difference in our air quality within hours. Thanks, IMS!

Fantastic experience, the guys were quick and professional, explained everything about the installation. We had a new Carrier a/c unit, uv air purifier hospital grade, filtration unit, ecobee4 thermostat and a humidifier installed. Surge protectors were added for the a/c and the very expensive furnace motor. I was suspicious of their pricing but after several estimates from other companies, IMS was the best priced estimate with very good units which I researched before accepting their bid.

You could not do better than to hire the IMS team to take care of your HVAC needs! We had a Mitsubishi mini split installed in our - it turned out that the outside compressor was defective from the factory. Jordan, IMS' lead service technician and service manager Kevin worked on the unit and determined it needed replacement which IMS did. IMS was also determined to make us happy customers and we certainly are!

Beware of their "safety" policy during Inspections/Maintenance. Had a technician come out for an A/C and furnace inspection (coordinated via the Home Depot). During the inspection he noted CO levels of 11 ppm at which point he disabled my furnace. But the worst part is that he did not verbally communicate this to me at all. He did mention recording "high" CO levels and said that an inducer motor needed to be replaced ($900), but said nothing about turning off my furnace. It's currently fall and we are expecting lows in the teens TOMORROW. Meanwhile, I have a "locked out" furnace?!?

Immediately this morning when I figured out what was going on (via an obscure "locked out for safety reasons" sentence on the invoice) I gave them a call and ask to speak with the owner. Late this afternoon I did get a call back, but he told me this was an EPA requirement and saw nothing wrong with disabling my furnace ahead of a winter storm. So apparently my safety from CO is of paramount importance, but my safety from freezing temperatures is not.

I was unable to find anything on the EPA website stating requirements about CO, however the only relevant link I could find (https://www.cdc.gov/niosh/docs/81-123/pdfs/0105.pdf) referenced sustained levels over 50ppm (over 8 hours). Further, I have multiple CO detectors (both wired smoke/co and plug-in), none of which have ever alerted. I'm not saying these guys are scammers, but the pattern of disabling a system for "safety" without any documentation of where those limits come from and requiring $900 worth of work to "make it safe" sure is suspect.

Great Job. Our install team arrived promptly and were professional and efficient! They cleaned up everything when they were done and did a great job. Daryn and his team were knowledgeable and he took time, when the job was completed, to explain the new Furnace, AC and hi tech Ecobee thermostat to us. Thanks for a job well done.

Last summer we had IMS out to our home to do work on our a/c. They preformed what was asked with great results. This was the third time we had used them we even used them to finish our basement. To say the least we love working with them. However we needed a pricing for a part that was under parts warranty but not labor warranty. This is where everything went south.

We never got a call and it slip our minds. Now fast forward to January having an issue so I call them along with my issue I remind them I had not gotten my quote. I was told "we called you and you never called us back now it is more money due to the fact it is out of warranty". After a little back and forth I asked for a call back from a manager witch I did not get.

I located my phone bill for the days they say they called and there number did not show up at all. The lesson here is loyalty to a company dose not pay alway shop them and I would not use IMS

I have used IMS in the past, and everything was fine. My last appointment with them was not a good experience. I called them out for seasonal maintenance. After a little while, he tells me that the blower motor is leaking oil, and it will have to be replaced. I am suspicious because it has been running fine and it doesn't look like it is leaking.

After he left, I wiped the motor clean to get an accurate baseline, and I have been monitoring it for a few weeks. From what I can tell, it has not leaked oil at all. The motor still runs great, and it has not had any problems. The quote to replace the blower motor was $700. I looked up the part, and a normal person on the street can buy a blower motor for my furnace for $315, so they estimated $400 for labor at that price.

Keep in mind, they probably get a better price on the motor, so it could be even higher for the labor. Home Advisor says "Blower motor repair typically costs between $150 for a simple fix, and $450 for complete replacement and installation of the part. Where you land on that range depends on the exact damage." Sims Heating and Cooling says, "Blower motor replacement can range from $150-$450; while a squirrel cage fan with motor is in a range of $250-$600." I talked to another heating and air person and he asked me a few questions. "This was a seasonal maintenance call?" Yep "There wasn't anything wrong with the motor when you called?" Nope "It wasn't making any noise?" Nope "It wasn't turning Off and On, cycling power?" Nope.

Then he says, "They're trying to screw you." On top of all that, it isn't a very good deal when you do both the heater and the air conditioner at once. It is $190, which includes a discount for doing both items.

All I can say is one of the drivers on I25 is an a-hole! License plate starts with 255 If he drives that aggressive, I sure don't want him working on my furnace! Do you really think people don't notice? And you are willing to lose business because of it? I25 is dangerous enough without you tailgating so close to keep others from changing lanes. That is what happened this morning! Well fly on by dick head! And know the name of your company is all over your truck. I will wait and live!

First off they were expensive. Second off they told me they could bill me so that I could pay after the service was done. Instead the manager called me less than 24 hours after the service and literally started screaming at me for my credit card to pay; they hadn't even sent me an invoice yet, and after I did pay I had to call three times just to get them to send an invoice; something they promised they would do; they had my email and full contact information.

The manager was so rude it was unbelievable; any attempt to get him to calm down was futile. Then for their quality of work. The work order was just to replace the main blower fan motor in our furnace/central air which had broken. Since this is for a house I am trying to sell, and is very far from where I now live, I was not there for the service.

When the tech finished replacing the motor he called and said the system wasn't cooling still and the reason was that it was "2 pounds low on refrigerant." We had an open house then next day so I took his word and told him to refill the refrigerant to the correct level. He called later and said that it was working and cooling but not as fast as it should and it was because the outside compressor motor was broken and was "bypassing internally" but that he didn't have the parts to replace it.

When our relator came for the open house the reality was the AC wasn't working at all. I called another company to come out two days after the first gut from IMS and he called me to tell me the reason why it wasn't working was because the refrigerant was OVERCHARGED by two pounds of refrigerant. Basically, the IMS guy didn't know what he was doing or was purposely scamming me into paying for more refrigerant.

Once the new guy from a good company came in and removed the refrigerant the IMS guy added, the system began to function just fine. It now cools fine. DO NOT USE IMS. They lie to you, they do shoddy work, they might possibly be purposefully scamming people and their manager is the rudest person I have ever dealt with in customer service. There are plenty of good alternatives in the area to use, I personally recommend Carbon Valley Heating and Air, they're the ones who fixed the debacle that IMS created.

PRICE GOUGING! Our compressor stopped working suddenly over the weekend and while this was the only company we could get out on a Monday to look at our unit, I wish we had waited for one of the ones that said they could be here today instead. Unfortunately by the time the guy got to the house yesterday, it was well into the 90's and we had already been through more than 24hrs in a miserably hot house.

He said he only had a 'universal' capacitor to fit our 5-ton AC unit and that the cost of the capacitor would be $280! We really didn't have much of a choice unless we wanted to experience the 100 degree temp without AC for another afternoon/evening.so we agreed. After seeing what capacitor he installed (MACS 1220 Turbo 200), I looked it up and found it runs $50-70 on Amazon.

Now I fully expect these companies to mark up their parts around double the price, as they are providing a service to have parts on hand. However, more than 4x the cost is going overboard. The tech even said "it's supply and demand". Well in my book, that's just price gouging and taking advantage of a situation. It's unfortunate that the big box stores don't carry these universal capacitors on hand. You have to go to an HVAC supplier to get them, and most want to do a 'service call' before selling you the part.

Bad experience. I had an AC system that was brand new and it was acting up, they came out and quoted me $1500 to repair. I needed a new line set and a new drier and a new this and a new that. I called another company, they came out and fixed it for less than IMS's service call, there was a wire loose in the furnace making intermittent contact.

Simple fix. I was talking to some other local friends about my experience and all of them have had similar experiences with this company. The previous post seems like self promotion

An oasis in a myriad of dirty HVAC companies. Couldn't be more happy with my Gas Furnace they installed this week. I just noticed the model is an upgrade from what I thought I was getting which I'm very happy about of course. The two installers were very professional, kept the area and access very clean and did a great job modifying the ductwork to be more efficient.

They ran through a checklist to ensure I was happy on the install, during which noticed some noise from the return ducting when the unit shutoff (due to the increased airflow no doubt) and went about immediately installing reinforcing structure. Now the thing purrs like a kitty, day and night in comparison to the old unit. When it comes time to do my AC I will definitely put IMS at the top of the list.

I had 2 central air conditioning units serviced by this company, which was advertising a seasonal A/C tuneup for a special price through my local Home Depot store. I was satisfied with the work performed, but a bit surprised by the additional $125 fee asked to be authorized to clean the outside coil on my Trane unit. The initial tune-up check list took about 30 minutes, and the technician spent almost an additional hour to disassemble the covers and clean the coil fins on the unit outside.

I emailed the company that Friday, and they were going to get back to me on Monday. Having not heard anything, I called on Wednesday morning to follow up, and they said it is normal to charge $125 additional for cleaning a Trane. While I was happy with the service, the billing practices are questionable. I will in the future work with an A/C company that bills on an hourly and fractional basis after that, so there is no low "teaser rate" to get the business, then charge more for extra services needed to make what seems to be a targeted billable amount per service call.

Very professional and friendly furnace estimate and installation. Knowledgeable staff, great products, prompt and thorough service. Good price.
