A company driver came to my house by mistake. He clearly can't read the four large numbers posted on the house. He had already deployed the fuel hose from the truck when he realized he was in the wrong place. Instead of reeling it back in, he drove off with the entire length hitting everything in its path. I would appreciate it if this company would keep substandard employees off of public roads and private property. I'm glad the hose didn't hit anything living!

I had 2 guys come out to look at my oil furnace because it wasn't working at all. I was told that I needed a new motor and cleaning, which would cost over $2100. I asked one of the guys for the cost of the part, he said, he didn't know bcus the part and labor was automatically combined. I do know that he charged approx $600 to clean my furnace, so I guess the rest was for the part and labor.
I called another company.paid $200+ for the part, and $250 for labor. This is a big difference from $2100, minus cleaning. I will not call Hungerford again. I don't see honesty at all!

I had new indoor and outdoor units installed and they cannot keep my house at the desired temperature. They run almost constantly and on a 75 degree day I can't get the temperature in my house down to 70. They have been out several times with different reasons why it's not working properly. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO ELSEWHERE. If you use Hungerfords, get the higher ton or higher SEER even when they recommend against it!

Hungerford service is the worst. 8 am heat was working fine. 8:10 am Hungerford delivered oil. 8:20 only cold air is blowing thru vents. I go under house reset system twice, still cold air. Call Hungerford. Lady on phone was very nice. We're going to have a tech come and get you heat right away. Tech came walk around outside my house. Gave me a quote for $2600. Did absolutely nothing Now I have 200 gallons of oil I cant use. A. night ago house was warm and cozy 1 nightlater after their delivery we using space heaters and oven to warm house.
So i chose service not listed. Cause none was provided. And charge me for service call Hungerford will never get another penny from me I wouldnt recommend them to anyone for anything

Hungerford replaced our outside central ac unit and our gas furnace. We were extremely pleased with their work and their pricing was good. We had talked with a couple companies and Hungerford was very competitive and had good reviews. Now we know why. It has been a few years and we are still pleased with the work they did.

I have been using Hungerford for several years now after having a bad experience with another company. They have always been excellent about getting oil to me when I needed it- even same day when necessary. I recently called them for an issue with the burner not staying lit. Jason came out and had it fixed in no time. Then he took the time to explain what was wrong and how he fixed it. I would recommend Hungerford and Jason to anyone.

Wow they have a driver who cut off traffic on 05/13/2020 in one of their company oil trucks that came onto Interstate I-64 that came off the exit to merge onto the highway right by the P.O. white interchange. right before exit 185 Staples Mill Rd Cut us off around 8:30am then cut off the vehicle to our right lane and even flicked off everyone with his left middle finger as people was passing.
There is no way I would want anyone with that type of non-professional dangerous behavior doing any type of oil delivery or work on anything that I own. During these times it's extremely sad to this type of behavior from someone driving a vehicle containing flammable fluid.

Horrible service. Had two different technicians come look at our oil furnace because of a strong oil smell in our garage. Neither could figure out what was wrong but on each occasion the tech told us to buy air fresheners to cover the smell rather than figure out what was going on. Completely unqualified and unprofessional employees.

Been with this company for 12 years. Always responsive to my after-hours emergency calls, reliable and prompt service visits for my furnace. Recently had them remove/replace a leaking indoor oil tank from my basement and the job was done seamlessly in one day. No upcharges from the original price estimate. A good and honest company.

I can not say enough positive things about this company! We purchased and older home and didn't know anything about oil heat, so we called the sticker on the furnace of Hungerford since they installed the unit when it was new. From the initial visit when they filled the tank, and the service manager came out to introduce himself and walk us through how to use the furnace, to the friendly and courteous driver who delivers our oil automatically, I could not ask for better customer service.
Even as I write this, a serviceman just left my home, fixing the small issue with our furnace, he explained in detail what was wrong, and even went in to detail to show us exactly how the furnace worked explaining the parts as he removed them, and what was wrong. My home was left just as clean as it was when he arrived, and he was friendly to my two dogs, who made sure to let him know they were there! I'm happily willing to reccomend them to anyone!

Furnace went down after power outage and multiple things were burned out. Hungerford came out to fix it and said everything was burned up and I needed a whole new furnace. 2000.00 to fix or 4000.00 for a new furnace. I decided to get a second opinion and called Kelleher. In two hours the furnace was fixed and running for 600.00. I'm sure at some point it needs to be replaced, but that was NOT COOL.

Horrible technician showed up at our house and said that the inspection tune up didn't cover them actually doing anything to the unit. I was told it would cost $150.00 just to tell me if the freon level was low. Complete waste of time. I was also told that anything that they actually do to the unit would be an extra charge. It is no wonder they are trying to sell a Groupon to try to drum up business. BEWARE! This company will try to take your money without actually doing any work of any kind.
