Hamrick Air Conditioning & Heating is a customer focused air-conditioning and heating company located in Pensacola, FL. We employ highly trained people whose goal is to make our company the best service company in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties. Our company specializes in designing, engineering, and installing complete comfort systems for owners of existing homes and buildings just like yours.
Heating and cooling your home uses more energy and drains more energy dollars than any other system in your home. Typically, 44% of your utility bill goes for heating and cooling. No matter what kind of heating, ventilation and air-conditioning system you have in your house, you can save money and increase comfort by properly maintaining and upgrading your equipment.
Most air conditioners have their capacity rated in BTUs, or British Thermal Units. A BTU is, generally, the amount of heat required to raise the temperature of one pound of water one degree F. Specifically, a BTU is 1,055 joules, but the first definition is easier to understand in real-life terms. One "ton", in heating and cooling terms, is 12,000 BTUs.
Just like your favorite car, your heating and cooling system needs a regular trip to the mechanic to keep it purring. Without regular servicing, heating and cooling systems burn more fuel and are more likely to break down. With the proper attention, they can keep you comfortable year-round. Heat pumps and oil-fired furnaces and boilers need a yearly professional tune-up.

Hamrick installed a Carrier unit at my home 8 years ago and has had a maintenance contact ever since with fantastic technicians. I had a scheduled service window from 2:00 - 4:00, got a call at 3:30 saying that the technician would be at my house shortly after 5, he arrived at 5:45. The technician literally broke the air handler drain line off the side of the house, smoked while working on my unit, and threatened to leave the job when I challenged his actions.

I called the office later, they were closed during the service call, and was told that Hamrick has a shortage of technicians, will be changing service time windows to morning/afternoon, can't get parts, and that I should be okay with all of this. I cancelled my service contract.

Ms. Snooty Pants answered the phone when inquiring about a new 25 Seer Lennox unit. She was rude, obnoxious, lacked technical information, and extremely unprofessional. Then, Ms. Snooty Pants attempted to price gouge me (Hurricane Sally) into Hamrick's Air Conditioning sales department for an install that is clearly advertised by Lennox for $6,300 (installed) to well over $13,000 (installed).

If you want a new A/C HVAC system, do not use Hamrick because you will be price gouged and not provided appropriate Lennox sales support. Its better to order from a warehouse or Home Depot and have it installed since Hamrick's Ms. Snooty Pants and sales team will clearly attempt to steal every dollar you have in good or bad times (Hurricane Sally).

In the last 3 years we have had several HVAC companies supposedly "fix" our HVAC system whenever a problem occurred. Tread carefully, most of those companies techs are not very good and are only there to up-sell things that are not needed. We finally found a honest company with technicians that know how to do their job, Hamrick! One visit to diagnose the real problem, a leak in the coil.

The entire team did everything right, helped us with our parts warranty claim, then showed up exactly on time to install. The two techs were very professional, got the job done in short order, and cleaned up to the point of not even knowing someone had just completed a major job. Critical: Responsiveness Not sure what happened to this business, but we just requested a refund for our service contract. We've been trying to get somebody out for 4 months--multiple phone calls have been ignored. Office staff says they give my messages to the owner each time I call. No response, so I filed a complaint with the BBB. Service: A/C system repair

My fairly new HVAC system died unexpectedly. I called them because it's a Lennox and they are listed on the Lennox website. I just bought the house 16 mos ago and don't know who installed the system but it's new enough that it should be under warranty. They sent someone out pretty rapidly (less than 2 hours) Jay was really professional and very informative.

He was very clear about how the service and pricing worked. He did let me know that they WERE the company that had installed the system. He quickly figured out that the problem was actually that my electrical breaker outside was bad and he had the part on his truck and was able to replace it. He also did a maintenance service (I signed up for a service contract) since he had time in his schedule. Overall the price was reasonable and I was thrilled to get it done so quickly. I'm glad I called Hamrick.

Technician seemed very knowledgeable and explained everything that he did. Also took time to explain MERV of air filter, cleaning drain line, and keeping bugs from affecting outside electrical contacts.

I recently had an HVAC installed through Lowe's with hamrick ac, amazing customer service, incredible knowledge on their products. This unit was installed in my rental property and they showed my tenants how to use the updated ac unit due to the last one being almost 30 years old. I truly appreciate their customer service and knowledge of their products. I would highly recommend them in the future!

Recommended Hamrick Air Conditioning to my mother who's heater was not working. Hamrick came out same day and got her heat working again. They also checked her freon and cleaned her drain for no added cost. Great Job again!

We have been customers of Hamrick Air and Heating for 22 years and have never had a bad experience with service, installation, lateness or quality of work. All service employees as well as office and sales have been courteous and helpful. We just had our old unit replaced after 22 years of service and anticipate our new one will last as long.

I will start by giving them a 5 for promptness. I give them a 1 star for quality work and pricing. I have an older gas unit that needed a new fan motor. The price quoted was high, but being out of town, I had to bite the bullet and OK the work. After the work is over, I get charged extra for a mounting bracket The replaced capacitor was not a factory replacement, so they wrapped electrical tape around it for the install?! Heck, you can replace the whole fan housing and unit for $700 or less.

What should have have been a 3-400 charge was nearly $600. Motors cost $75 - 150. Charging an extra $60 for a mounting bracket because you don't have a factory replacement is ridiculous. I asked the gal on the phone on the initial call to send me a receipt. Nothing. I had to call back two weeks later to request it again. I expressed my dissatisfaction with the experience. No offer to talk to a manager or owner. I don't mind paying for quality work, but sheesh, this was a substandard experience.

This is the reality. What kind of company tells a customer of over 4 years when they are confronted with not following code on putting their equipment in, "WE'VE BEEN IN BUSINESS FOR OVER 25 YEARS! YOU'RE THE F*CKING PROBLEM, BI*CH!" Then hang up on their customers? Wow. This company got Pensacola's Best of the Bay?! Really? This is the best Pensacola has to offer?!

Have a problem with these guys and this is how it goes down, I assure you, and it's not restricted to the guys, the office help is just as bad. Just. Wow. Apology not accepted for your meltdown because your response now further confirms that you are not only rude but you are a LIAR. You had no right to respond the way that you did. Horrible consistent customer service from your sales department to your office staff and now to you.

I wish you the best. Honestly, I think your Best of the Bay trophy should be revoked. I'm not the only dissatisfied customer. There are other one star reviews confirming my experience with regard to the behavior of Hamrick. You may have taken care of thousands of customers but when you drop the ball on just ONE, you destroy the successful years that you've had in business. Peace.

I don't know if they have changed their policy yet on service contracts. I had one; had to have an unexpected surgery at the time of scheduling the service. Called to reschedule and the company said no dice. They wouldn't honor their own service CONTRACT nor did they offer a refund for funds paid in advance. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS they are NOT customer oriented!

I rarely recommend anyone for anything but Hamrick is in a class by themselves. The owner is hands on and the techs are very professional. They troubleshot my old unit and replaced it when it needed to be replaced. They guided me through the selection and didn't try to oversell me on a larger unit. Tonight, after calling after hours, the owner dispatched a technician to our house and he was successful in repairing our unit. Cody is a breath of fresh air. Honest, professional and consistently reliable company.

Great company. Be sure to sign up for the annual maintenance plan. It gets you on the top of the list for repairs, avoids overtime charges for holiday and weekend and gets a parts discount. Been using them for over 20 years and always more than satisfied. Excellent technicians, clean up after themselves, very pleasant and well mannered. Got my Mom hooked up with them too.
