It was a great experience working with Grove, from the first phone call through the service visit. The technician was courteous and knowledgeable. He quickly assessed the situation and fixed the problem, then stayed to ensure everything was operating normally. I will definitely use Grove again!

The installation of the part went well. The techs did a good job of installing. It was very expensive. Installation of a new unit would have been the better choice. New HVAC units are not readily available at this time. Communication with Grove and their techs is easier than other providers. Service: HVAC system repair

Grove was able to get a technician out to my home within 1 business day. The technician was on time and able to repair my AC all before my daughter's school bus came that morning! He was polite, efficient, focused on task at hand. Price was extremely reasonable - much better than I anticipated. I couldn't be happier with the service and company!

I called Grove because my Mitsubishi mini-split outdoor unit had failed and my usual repair person was in the hospital. I explained that it went out last year when a load of snow fell on it from above, and that this year it probably was the same thing (this year I didn't hear it happen, but we were warming up from a big ice storm so there was stuff to fall).

They diagnosed it as needing a new control board *and* compressor. The unit is still under warranty, but only parts are covered, not labor. Nevertheless, they made me put down a deposit for the parts, which is sketchy to start with. Disappointing that they don't keep them in stock, and why do I need to prepay if they're covered by warranty. They sent two guys out to replace the parts, and charged me $1800 for the labor.

They were here for less than 5 hours, so that's $180/hr they charged me, which seems excessive, even if the repair had worked. But no, they had misdiagnosed it. The problem was with the power board, as would have been obvious had they taken 2 minutes to examine it. That's the board that's directly under the top of the unit. You know, where I told them the snow or ice had hit. Turns out that under the 1/2" of foam protecting that board, there is a metal shield.

One look at the board and the problem was obvious: it was covered with soot from where it had been shorted against the metal shield when the snow landed on the top of the unit. An entire 1/2" wide trace on the board had been vaporized (see photo). If they had actually looked at it in the first place, it would have been obvious, but they just count flashes on the self-diagnosis LED and call Mitsubishi to ask them to diagnose it remotely.

To add further insult, they then charged me an additional $250 to replace that board. After I spent half an hour on the phone with them explaining why the problem was obvious and they had clearly misdiagnosed it, the best they would do was take off 10% from the second charge. 25 bucks off a $2000 bill for a warranty repair. That also took an extra week and a half waiting for the second board. So, to sum up: Badly misdiagnosed my problem Charged a fortune, mostly due to said misdiagnosis No parts in stock Unwilling to provide any cost reduction to make up for all that 0/10, will never use again.

Had Steven to our home today for a furnace that wasn't working. He found the problem quickly and had the replacement part on the truck. Steven was professional and made sure to thoroughly and understandably explain everything to us. We purchased a premium maintenance package today. Good price for coverage. The crew at Grove pulled through when our heating system stopped working and they showed up promptly the next morning to help us out. They were caring and understanding with our plight and gave us updates throughout the process. I recently had a water heater that needed to be replaced as well as the pipes that were connected to it. My water heater is located in a very small space which would make the task even more difficult. I called the manufacturer of my old water heater and found Grove Heating and Cooling on their website locater of recommended contractors in my area.

I am so glad I did. Brian gave me a fair estimate quickly and scheduled my installation. Jimmy, Joe, Mike, and Paul showed up to my house promptly on the day of installation and were very knowledgeable, courteous and professional. The installation took most of the day and I never heard any of them complain and they kept positive attitudes the entire time.

I am very happy with my new water heater and the new pipes and new layout of the pipes.( My home builder had my mixing valve and the pipes connected to the other water heater in a wall behind drywall. Which made it difficult to spot any leaks etc.and I have an Aqua Therm furnace that heats the house via the hot water produced by my water heater instead of a heat pump.)They did an excellent job and I recommend them confidently. Plus they cleaned up after they were done. Great job guys and you all are very much appreciated!

In August of 2017 during the hottest week of the year, my old ac died. Called Grove. Had a whole new system installed within 3 days. Pretty darn impressive considering the demand they must have had that week. Fast forward to last night when my blower motor malfunctioned. Not even 12 hours later, Jason W. had a new motor installed and I'm back up and running. I can't say enough about these folks. I highly recommend Grove to anyone who asks.

Each time Grove technicians have come to my house to fix my HVAC (usually to fix issues stemming from a poor install by another company), they've been on time, they've completed the work I've asked them to, and they've been polite/respectful. They've also worn masks (correctly) each time they've come over. I'd recommend this company and would definitely use them again, if another problem arose.

I worked with Grove for a large project for our condo association and they provided excellent service and were very responsive to our requests. They showed great patience answering questions from different association board members and owners that they would not have had to deal with for a typical single family installation. There was one technician who did all of the sheet metal work and another who did the brazing and both seemed very competent. The final product looked and worked great and they were very careful to clean up after themselves.

Another one of those rip offs, when you go through a company, they overcharge, and only do half the job. Then days after the service you find out the problem still exists. Run into this problem all too often with these companies. Had a clogged pipe that regulates condensation from the HVAC system that caused a huge backup of water to collect in the pan, at least a few gallons of water just sitting in the pan, not draining.

Guy came out unclogged the pipe to prevent blockage, great. Supposedly used a shop vac to vacuum the water, but by the time he was done, the same amount of water still remained in the pan. Once he was done, said, it would take a few days for the water to completely drain slowly, ok cool. Three days later, water still at same level, maybe 0.5 inches lower.

My husband realized he went to the gym with a HVAC technician and asked him to come over and take a look. Guy came over, did the job RIGHT. Took the HVAC unit apart, got into the pan, sucked all the water out and dumped it, now the pan free of water, as it should've been done when this company came out. Moral of the story, find a good, reliable, and reasonable general contractor who does work on the side.

They are more upfront, honest, and make sure they do the job right because they pride themselves on being loyal to their customers. Companies try to charge you as much, but do half the job.

We had the maintenance contract and have only had problems with the technician and lack of knowledge. After several service calls they immediately wanted to replace the unit. Preformed a repair that failed. We got another opinion from a competitor which shows wrong diagnosis. They aren't interested in repairing. Grove only wants to sell you a new unit! Wrote letter to owner and was treated horribly and told, we did nothing wrong. Had another company fix our unit and tightened and fix what Grove had neglected to find the real problem, a leaking connectors.

Our unit works perfectly. We paid over 2000.00 to Grove and got nothing. We asked the owner for a $800.00 refund. Was told no! Poor customer service and horrible technicians! The fact is you didn't fix anything! But certainly wanted our money. The honest way to conduct business would be, admit your mistakes and refund the customer!

I made an appointment for them based on the great reviews. They seemed nice, but a full day after the appointment was made, they called me and told me I was outside their service area. Why they did not tell me when I made the appointment, having given them the address, I do not know but I attribute that to sloppy and poor customer service. Now, I have wasted a day.

I had grove heating and cooling install a ductless mini-split system and was extremely pleased with the courteous service and the neat job done by the installers. They discussed various details of the project as they were working on them to make sure I was happy with the work. The team went above and beyond by removing an unsightly electrical conduit that was no longer being used but was still attached to my house in the same area where they were installing the AC system. Having them take care of that was an unexpected bonus.

The only thing that could have been better - when the team arrived to do the install they had a plan showing where the various components were to be installed. I would have preferred to see that plan before the team arrived to do the work.

Perfect install, great salesman, no pressure. Great office staff, very pleasant. It is 100 degrees out and the mini-split AC cools the whole house. Now if they just come out and serve me a mint-julep.

Grove installed a new heat pump in my house the Friday before Memorial Day. They did a great job. They showed up right on time to get started. They worked hard until the project was done. They delivered the work they committed to, without any surprises. They were very courteous and respectful to my family and cleaned up after the project was done.

Nothing but good things to say. I have a second system in my house that is aging and will need replacement in the next year or so, and I will call Groove to handle the project.

Every communication I had with employees of Grove was professional and helpful. We needed to replace our furnace only. They did not try to up sell, which was nice for a change. Their quote was $1,100 less than Belair's for an equivalent product/warranty. Installation was done within the week and everything was very well explained. Thank you to everyone at Grove for keeping my family warm this winter!

They spent some extra time before doing the job to make sure we wouldn't have any issues with leaks, they were very careful about leaving the area clean and free of debris, and they came back quickly after I requested some changes in the finished product, which they performed to my complete satisfaction. This is an excellent company to do business with!

Professional and honest. We initially thought we had an A/C issue as it abruptly stopped working. The technician, Mike, inspected our unit and quickly came to the correct conclusion that it was an electrical wiring issue rather than the A/C unit itself. Called an electrician and all is working great now. Thanks to their honesty and courtesy, I will definitely call Grove if/when a heating and/or cooling issue arises in the future.

GROVE Heating & Cooling installed a small Mitsubishi cooling & heating system in our large family room. In just a matter of a few hours we went from a 3-season room to a great room we can use year-round now that we have A/C plus heat in the room. The installers showed up promptly as scheduled, were clean going about their business, were respectful of other things going on in the house, and mindful of avoiding the doggie supervisors. PHIL, AUSTIN, and ARROW did a great job with the installation and we are exceptionally pleased with the outcome. We would hire GROVE Heating and Cooling again for any other HVAC system needs.

Just had a new furnace and A/C unit put in today. I typically don't do reviews, but felt compelled to after my experience today. The Grove team was on time and answered and explained every detail of the new system. Your doing yourself a disservice if you don't at least get a estimate. A week ago I had my 16 year old Carrier Air Conditioning/Heat pump replaced by Grove Heating and Cooling. I purchase a Trane unit.the first time I had gone with Trane, but after much research and comparative shopping, I choose their product. I could not be happier.in fact my wife is elated by how quite the unit runs and the results it has produced thus far.especially in the high heat we are experiencing now.our house is effortlessly cool.

The instillation of our new unit and the removal of my old one went about as seamlessly as could be imagined. The technicians were in and out in one day, with next to no interruptions. They answered all my questions, were exceptionally courteous, cleaned up after themselves, instructed me in the use of the new unit and thermostat, helped me fill out the form for my rebate and left me with clear instructions on who to call if they were needed.

If you are reading this review and are considering purchasing a Trane product and hiring a contractor to install and service your unit, look no further: Grove is the company to go with.hands down the best contractor experience we have ever had.and all of my friends (who I referred to Grove) will say the same.

I hired Grove to replace my A/C and add a heat pump in the house. They quoted me a price which was lower than two other quotes I received, even though they clearly told me they were not the cheapest in town. They did a great job. They were prompt and tidy. I highly recommend Grove if you're in the market for a HVAC solution.

We moved to a new house and had them make sure that some oil furnace repairs had been completed/generally check out our new systems. Their service person was excellent. He did exactly what we needed, explained his evaluation, and answered all of our questions. He recommended against any further service to save money, given that we plan on replacing the unit soon, and provided lots of background information regarding geothermal systems. We probably spoke for over 30 minutes. He was patient, helpful, professional, and friendly. Will definitely be using them in the future.

I used Grove recently to put in a new A/C and Furnace in the house. Daniel was prompt and thorough for my estimate. When they came to put in the unit, they were on time and they worked very hard to get the unit installed and working. They did a great job, cleaned up after themselves and they were very knowledgable about the equipment. I highly recommend Grove to my friends and neighbors.

Just a note, they were a little more expensive than a couple of other places. But they are locally owned and operated. And that makes a difference for me. Finally, about two weeks after my A/C unit was installed. It stopped blowing cold air (naturally on a very hot day), so at 4:30 in the afternoon, I called the service line. By 5:30 one of Gary Grove's sons and a technician were at the house.

The Unit had catostrophically failed. They did not know why. But, I guess even A/C Units can be a lemon. Instead of just ordering parts, they called the disrtibutor, found a new Unit, then made arrangments to pick it up and bring it to my house to re-install the next morning. At 6:30 the next morning, a Grove truck was in my driveway, the technician came in, and started the process of putting in the new unit.at 7:30 the new Unit had arrived, and by 10:00 am, the house was cooling off. Just splendid. If I was concerned about paying a little more, that went out the window with the customer service. Excellent JOB!

Grove Heating and Cooling is excellent. My AC stopped working at night, and I called in the morning on a Saturday and they were able to have a technician out on the same day. Kevin was the technician who helped me, and he was great. He was honest, explained everything in a way that I could understand, and gave me a great summary of all my options.

He was able to do all of the work needed, and was courteous and respectful (even down to the shoe covers so he wouldn't get our hardwood dirty). I was extremely pleased with Grove, and would highly recommend them. Every aspect of the experience was as low stress as I could have hoped.
