Terry oversees all divisions and is responsible for business development, marketing, and employee relations. He designs plumbing and HVAC systems, estimates and manages many of the company's commercial, and design-build projects. He holds Michigan licenses as a Master Plumber, Plumbing Contractor, Mechanical Contractor, and Boiler installer. Terry began his career in mechanical contracting as a Journeyman and later, as a Master Plumber in his family's plumbing and heating business.

I was out of town for work and got a call from my 85 Year old grand mother that the furnace was not working on a cold evening in March. So we called D&W and they came out take it was a weekend and I can see a slight up charge but not what they did they charged almost 800.00 for a small part and repairs and gouged her in overtime labor fees and an astronomical call out fee and any other fee they could. In meeting with the service manager he wouldn't adjust the fee and he felt just in his 200.00 hour pricing. I wouldn't call D&W for any need unless your ready to pay.

Our furnace was having issues and Mike at D and W took care of us right away. Got the repair parts ordered that we needed and within a few days everything was up and running despite Covid and being in the middle of winter thank you so much guys you rock

When my husband called he asked how much they would charge to come out and look at our furnace they told him $120. Receive the the bill in the mail and it was for $228 and there is a labor charge of $99. They did no work they looked at the furnace, no tools or equipment was brought in or used. When my husband called on the bill the first time they could not answer why we were told a different price than we were being charged, he called again and was told that the extra $108 is the cost of them driving to our house and back to their office. I can't imagine what they would have charged us to actually do the work.

Excessive charge for time spent. They charge extra for the first hour ($129 vs $99), which by itself would be a reasonable way to be compensated for travel time. However, to the actual service time, they also add round trip travel time to their office and, after the initial one hour minimum, round up to the next half-hour. Thus, for a service call that lasted slightly over one hour, my original bill was for 2.5 hours. (Reduced to 2 hours after calling to point out what I thought was a mistake on time charged.)

D&W was recommended to us by a work colleague. I was slightly concerned because I thought they only did big commercial jobs. We needed a mini-split A/C heat pump replaced. Mike, the sales rep, came out and listened to our concerns and gave us a quote for a unit that was more efficient than out 15 year our unit and was designed to work well and provide heating in our very cold Northern Michigan winters.

The crew arrived early on the date scheduled. They were very professional and polite. They went over the installation plan with me and confirmed the location for the outdoor unit. We are very pleased with the entire experience and would feel comfortable recommended D&W to anyone who asked.

Disappointing. My complaint isn't about service, but for dishonest money. While the installer didn't show up to our house until close to 8:30, we were charged labor starting at 7! When my husband called to fix this, we were met with rude, cold, dismissive behavior. They reluctantly took an hour of labor off of our bill (I will be double checking to make sure it's correct) and once paid I will no longer be seeking out this company for services.

We have had D and W here several times for furnace and AC issues. They are always extremely professional, polite and competent, fix the problem immediately, and respond in a timely manner to our call. Recently on a Saturday when our furnace went out, with the temp outside in the 20's, they were here in 10 minutes, fixed the issue and got our heat going. I would highly recommend them, they really know what they are doing!

A friend of ours had worked for them for a long time so I trusted them, my mistake. I called them because not much air was coming out of my forced air vents. The first guy came by and never actually address the issue. He looked through my furnace, acted like he was in a rush and said nothing at all was wrong but he would add some tape to the furnace and put some more refrigerant in the system.

He determined I needed more refrigerant without ever actually hooking up a pressure tester. He did make sure to end every statement with I "needed a entire new furnace system." He spent approximately 30 minutes at my house. Early the next week I called them again because the issue I was having with no air coming out of my vents was still happening, a second technician was sent out.

This technician quickly determined that my blower fan was completely full of dust and need to be cleaned. He cleaned it, and an hour and a half after he showed up everything was 100% fixed and I was happy. Then I got the invoice. The invoice billed me for 4 hours of work and a pound of refrigerant. Even if you round it up they were only here for approximately 3 hours.

On the invoice because they obviously understood the first guy made mistakes they refunded me 2 hours worth of labor. As far as I'm concerned they only spent 2 hours at my house. So basically they inflated the invoice to give me a discount to charge me for everything they actually did. That's like me ordering two burgers them charging me for 4 then giving me a discount for two and only giving me two burgers.

And then acting like they've done me a favor. Watch out. When I called to complain I was argued with, told I was wrong, and that I didn't understand leading me to finally just throw my hands up in the air and let them know that I would never be using them again.

Awesome customer service! I had a carbon monoxide leak due to an old furnace and they did an amazing job making my home safe and in proper working order! The staff who answered the phone were wonderful, the installers and Mr. Aiken were extremely kind and professional. Mr. Aiken not only helped with financing and upgraded appliance rebates, he helped us with our heating ducts and return air system throughout the house making rooms that were not heating properly warm again. I can't say enough good about D & W, what a great team! Thank you!

I hired them to do an inspection of the furnace and air conditioner in a house I was working on buying. The people were very pleasant and they were able to do the work very quickly. The technician was very friendly and knowledgeable. The the bottom fell out. The technician said he would have the office type up a report for me to use to negotiate the price on the house.

I never received a report and I never received an invoice to pay the bill until two months later when they were showing it past due and charged me a service fee. I paid the bill but wrote them a note thinking someone would call me to discuss what I thought was poor service. No one called me and now I'm feeling ripped off.

We need a new water conditioner and other plumbing needs, we called them yesterday and they referred us to Culligan! No reasons given like they were booked up and didn't even ask us what our problem was. So if you want good or any customer service call some other company.
