Countywide Mechanical (CM) charged me well over $500 to repair my shower head's weak pressure issue. At the time, I was renting my condo unit to tenants, and paid the fee. Less than 2 month's later, the issue reoccured. I drove down from LA to examine the issue for myself. It simply had calciu buildup on the shower head. I went to Home Depot and paid $20 for a new shower head and installed it myself - issue fully resolved.

I called CM several times to complain and they gave me "run around", always passing my call to some worthless supervisor who would never return my call. This is such an unethical way to conduct business! CM was recommended to me by my building's HOA. I informed my HOA of my unpleasant experience, and I haven't seen any CM van's around for a while.

I'm going to make sure my story/experience spreads. Oh yeah, what goes around comes around. It goes without say, I would have given CM a negative rating if I could. Update: my HOA had other issues with CM and does not use their services anymore. I'm happy they saw the light!

I had a great experience with Countywide. I call to schedule on Thursday afternoon and they arrived the next day for an appointment at noon. I needed a couple shower valves replaced, and the technician, Ruben, was super friendly and had the process done in no time flat. They provided great, timely service at a very reasonable price, and I'm glad I know I can rely on them in the future. Stoked!

Critical: Professionalism A driver from County Mechanical cut me off on the freeway as we were merging. He then honked his horn and gave me a look like I was in the wrong. Clearly he wasn't paying attention to where he was going. I would not use a company that has employees with that kind of attitude.

The a/c technician that came to do the repair was awesome! He was professional and very knowledgeable in his trade. I believe his name was Terrance. He explained everything and answered all my questions and concerns. Great customer service!

Critical: Professionalism Driver 251 of a Chevy Pick up doesn't merge properly, cuts people off, and was going 15 over in a school zone. All this happened in a matter of minutes I can only imagine what he's driving like the rest of the day.

County Wide Mechanical Systems decided to get COMPLETELY OUT of the SOLAR PANEL business. Those of us with systems are scrambling to make repairs/adjustments to what they have installed. This is NOT GOOD BUSINESS. Based upon this experience, I would be hesitant to do business with this company again. I have asked Scott Roscoe to have my meter directly connected to the WiFi so that I can monitor the amount of power being generated by my 30 panels.

I have asked no less than 6 times and am still without a working meter to see what EnPhase registers for my panels. This SHOULD NOT BE THE CASE. Do yourself a favor and LOOK ELSEWHERE for service by Countywide Mechanical Systems!

I feel that you can judge a lot about a company by the value instilled in its employees. What do you get with the employees of Countywide? Thieves. Plain and simple. We are another contractor that has been working on the Sycuan Casino, along with Countywide. My techs had noticed a ladder that looked to be one or ours, but it was covered with "Countywide Mechanical" stickers, and those stickers happened to be in all of the places where we had marked our company name on the ladder(s).

My guys had walked over to the ladder and pulled off the stickers only to find that sure enough, they had stolen our ladder, and simply put their company stickers over where we had marked the ladder to be our company property. The GC had notified Countywide, but Countywide didn't feel the need to reach out to my company to apologize or perhaps even do anything to reprimand their responsible employee.

I have nothing but respect for the employees in my company and trust them explicitly. I despise dishonesty and feel that it has the tendency to spread like wildfire in a company when you have those on your staff whom feel it is OK to lie cheat and steal. If you have employees that feel it is OK to steal from other trades, then they will also have no qualms about misrepresenting the hours worked, materials used on a project, workplace injuries and more.

The cost of those things end up as additional overhead that will end up being added in to the cost that they charge their customers. I would be VERY concerned if I had this company doing work for me, since their employees have zero concerns about stealing from other trades, I am 100% certain that they would also have zer concerns about a whole laundry list of other shady practices that they would also do to line the pockets of the field workers, and the office will ultimately need to pass those costs along to the end users.

If you value honesty and integrity in work that you are looking to have performed, I'd HIGHLY recommend to steer clear of companies that would outright steal from anyone. Next it could be you. (The picture is the backside of their sticker. After we peaked it off, it pulled off the ink with it, where my guys had marked our ladder as our company property).

The drivers of this place have no respect for those parked next to them. They parked next to my car and when coming out they had one of their plastic pipes rub against my car and it left a mark. No note of apology, no note about anything. This is a big reflection on the owners and the type of work that they do. If they can't take respect responsibility for a minor thing like this they can not be trusted for any major project.

I live in a high rise building downtown San Diego, I have a water source heat pump system. I hired countywide to fix it, a decision I really regret. Months of trial and error and missing appointments and a thousand dollars later, the AC was not fixed and they finally told me that it needs replacement and it will cost 7000$. I couldn't even get them to provide me with a diagnosis to present to my Home warranty company, Michael Cancel the company manager was ignoring calls, emails or messages left with his staff and not returning them.

It was a stressful experience, I finally hired B&B mechanical systems and they fixed the problem same day I called and for a very small fee, it was a very simple fix. Be careful.

After hearing from a friend who was once president of an electrical engineering firm I worked at (he has a Masters in Physics) give me all the reasons why he installed solar panels on his house, I decided to look into it myself. After researching solar energy technology for about 50 hours, I decided to find some companies to ask for proposals. One of my key criteria was to find a company that was not primarily a solar company because I didn't want my warranties to become worthless if the solar energy market suddenly cooled down.

One of the three companies I asked for bids from was Countywide Mechanical. One of the reasons I chose them was because solar is a relatively small percentage of the services (e.g. plumbing, electrical, HVAC, et. al.) that they offer. Also, they do work both locally and out of state. Ultimately, their bid won out for offering the greatest benefit for the lowest price, for the salesman being the least pushy and most knowledgeable, and for appearing to be the most financially stable of the three firms.

Now that it is all installed and working fine, I want to let them know in this review that I was very pleased by all the people who designed and put in the system. They were all honest, forthright, and exceedingly professional. The salesman who designed the system for me was very patient, and he never claimed anything that my research contradicted.

The people that installed it worked in three digit temperatures on the roof, in the attic, and digging a trench without complaint. They were always respectful, dressed professionally, and were simply nice people (the electrician even talked me through troubleshooting my whole-house air conditioner). They damaged nothing, cleaned up after themselves, and installed everything in such a manner that it not only works well but looks good. I'm super pleased. When Google maps next gets updated, you can use it to see the system on my roof in Montura Court in Santee!
