Bogush Mechanical was founded by John Bogush Sr., the Chief, more than 50 years ago and incorporated in 1976. In the 1980s, the Chief passed the company along to his sons, John Bogush Jr. and James Bogush. Throughout the years, they have followed their father's legacy by helping Bogush Inc. develop into a full-service plumbing, heating and air conditioning company that prides itself on providing excellent services. We provide plumbing, heating and air conditioning installations, repairs and replacements.
I called Bogush to fix a leaking shower faucet late Thursday and scheduled service for Friday morning with a guarantee the leak would be fixed before I left for vacation Friday afternoon. The plumber arrived at 9:00, replaced the shower head in under an hour and cleaned up the work area before he left.
Do you provide free estimates on your services? Yes. We offer free estimates for plumbing repair or replacement items that do not require a diagnosis. How do I know if my heater or air conditioner is in need of repair? You may not be able to tell if your heater or air conditioner is in need of repair until it is too late.

I had a minor leak in my laundry room. They came out right away 9am. Fantastic. The plumber arrived assessed the leak and then started checking out the basement and asking about the age of the house and the neighborhood.hmmm. but what does that have to do with the leak? Anyway, after 20 mins of nonsense talking. He fixed the leak. The pipe works. Beautiful ( chef's kiss) work of art.

I am a happy customer. Cool, lets take a look at the bill. The plumber comes back from car with the bill and it has another price than the one he quoted. He said his manager increased the price because it is an older house. Huh? The first price was fair. This second price is nuts. What do you do in a situation like that? Beg them to honor the first price and cry loudly?

The work was done so well, I didn't know what to do. I paid but I should have known something was up. He was talking way too much. Flashback, during the talk, I showed him another area where the cap on a drain pipe had rusted off. He held his phone up to take video of the pipe and the possible damage. I was standing right next to him. He showed me the video.

The pipe had a huge crack right in the middle. I asked. How did you take the video that quickly? Wait? why does the wall in your video look different than the one in my house? He seemed genuinely concerned for the safety of my pipes, so, I asked him to send me a proposal to do the work at a later date. Of course, after the price gouging I was suspicious.

So I did my own phone video of the pipe when he left. IT WASNT MY PIPE. I had to call my husband to take a look, just to be sure I wasn't loosing it. Our pipe was fine. All that needed to be replace was the cap. It was the old "switcher-roo" trick. The plumber must of had a collection of videos from you tube on hand to show customers to scare them into making unnecessary repairs. Unbelievable! Big take away from using this company- They are plumbers; they can fix things; they switch quoted prices; they show fake videos.

Wonderful company - they stand behind their work and are very very reasonable. I highly recommend them. I have an ejector pump system that failed and they fixed it totally. It was a mess and they came through. Thank you - thank you.

I wish I'd read the previous review of this company before bringing them in for a minor pipe repair. Same exact thing happened-- the plumber soldered a small metal pipe to fix a leak in my laundry room and he couldn't even get it right the first time. It took three failed attempts (2.5 hours!) and cost $300. Polite service doesn't count for much when the plumber can't handle a minor fix and still charges an arm and a leg. Never again.

"It's not worth my time; I think you should just move on." I could not believe my ears when the Manager at Bogush Plumbing said those words to me when I called to complain about the lousy job they did on snaking the sewer line. They did not use a root cutting head to cut the roots as they went through the line. This led to the line being slow soon after they left and it started backing up again.

When informed about this, the manager said "we can't come back and do anything till tomorrow at 9 am, " "I suggest you don't use any water till then." (I guess I will have to hold it for over 15 hours) I spoke to him again in the morning (maybe I just wasn't making myself clear I thought) and he sent someone out to supposedly take a look and assess the situation.

You guessed it, "I'm here to do the video", $200 and I gotta charge you for anything else. uhhh but the caps weren't put back on correctly, (as they were when they started) so you think it might leak if the caps are not on all the way?. Gotta charge you. uhh but what happens if you find roots with the video?. we'll cut them out, gotta charge you. Shouldn't you have just cut the roots out first?

Now after screwing up the first $260 by doing it wrong, (really if they hit roots don't you think they could have pulled out the snake and put a cutting head on the front? It would have taken.what maybe 20 mins more?), they wanted to charge another $200 to run a video camera down the line, which they would then have to cut the roots after they got a pretty picture for another $260 or more. ($720?) Let's try cutting the roots first.

You know I was not initially happy about cleaning up bits of excrement off the walls and floor the first time. No paper or towels were put down, though I figured it was fixed so why upset the apple cart, but when a person does not have the time to figure out a solution with customer; then it's time to not have customers.
