Gold star for customer service. We engaged AMHAC a few years back for their annual contract and have always been pleased with their service-twice each year, a friendly, knowledgeable tech arrives and makes sure everything is running well. But when a major part failed in our system during a hot spell, they diagnosed the problem quickly, sourced the parts, and had a pro here to install them. We look forward to continuing our service contract with AMHAC-thanks to Janet, Adam and the rest of the team for a job well done!

Joe 'O' came on time. He provided a complete inspection of the AC system. He was courteous, efficient and professional. In the process, he showed me that the condenser water pump had failed. I had actually been keeping an eye on it, given its age. He was able to replace the pump with one he had one on the truck. That done, he gave the rest of the AC system a thumbs up. That left me feeling confident that we are ready for the summer cooling season!

AMHAC has proven to be very reliable and professional and has provided us regular annual maintenance service. We recently had a major breakdown of our central heating/hot water system during the coldest days of the winter, while we were away. They responded to our call immediately, made the necessary repairs quickly and had the system up and running in short order.

It was a very satisfying response. Three years ago they dealt with and solved another major problem and we were very satisfied with the work and the workers. We have happily recomended them to several of our friends and neighbors.

We just switched to AMHAC, deciding to use a new company after Hurricane Ida ruined everything. I found the company responsive, timely, and less expensive than the other company we used. The men who came were professional and polite. From the little things (I appreciated that they put on shoe coverings so as not to track dirt in the house) to the bigger things (when I asked about uneven air flow, providing helpful suggestions), and even the office staff (very friendly and helpful), the whole experience was very positive.

We had an annual maintenance service performed for our furnace and AC. The AMHAC tech rep was prompt. professional, and courteous. He was knowledgeable and shared useful information regarding equipment condition and proper use. I would definitely call them again. AMHAC has been servicing our HVAC for three years since we moved into our home. They do annual checks before we turn on the system for the year and have provided issue support when we accidentally froze the system by clogging the filter during home repairs. They have helped us learn the system which they installed for the previous owners - helping us install a nest thermostat instead of the wireless remote that was used (and always lost by us).

Most recently they were able to efficiently do our maintenance and check for leaks in the system post the home repairs in one visit which others had told me would take two visits. Highly recommend them as they provide great service and maintain great records of my home service which makes it easier for me.

I had my A/C transformer fail over the weekend in May with temps reaching 90. AMHAC did a phenomenal job getting emergency service out to me quickly and helping to resolve the problem. Kevin was our technician and he was super friendly and courteous in addition to being knowledgeable about my issue. I am incredibly grateful for his great work and will be using only AMHAC in the future!

Found this company by tracing the make, model number, and serial number of my heater/AC unit to the manufacturer's web site. They had a link to authorized service companies and parts distributors in my area. AMHAC had more positive reviews than any other dealer on the site. I had a very good experience and agree with all the positive reviews. Good job. Thank you.

A five month saga to have mini splits installed and to receive proper billing. Many issues with installation, including installing tubing in front of a door so the door couldn't open more than halfway. They also installed the wrong circuit breaker, which would have prevented the unit from working properly. They didn't insulate at least one of the units properly, so in addition to the thermostats not working until we called them to come fix the issue, we could actually see daylight through a hole in the wall.

They didn't program the outside unit so, again, things didn't work properly until they came back out to fix it. They couldn't figure out how to troubleshoot with the manufacturer so made us call the manufacturer for them. They then they repeatedly tried to overcharge us including billing for upgraded hardware they didn't install, refusing to apply ConEd rebates, and several delays in sending bills.

They also forgot to register our products with the manufacturer for warranties, then did it incorrectly and almost cost us 2 years of warranty coverage. President of the company didn't care, sales rep didn't care, customer service got nasty with us. Awful service, will never work with again. If they try to refute any of this, there is plenty of documentation including emails with and from the president.

To AMHAC, you have responded to other negative reviews by including personal addresses of the reviewers. If you choose to reply to mine, DO NOT include my address as it is irrelevant.

I have done business with AMHAC for over 30 years, servicing and/or replacing heat, air conditioning and hot water heating units in my home. I have alway found them to be responsive and capable of getting any repairs done in a timely manner. Their customer service people are so courteous, sometimes calling multiple times a day to keep me informed of the repair schedule or to follow up after any repair has been completed to make sure everything is satisfactory and working properly.

Their repair technicians are prompt and knowledgeable and in every instance got me back up and working as fast as possible. Even if parts are needed, they try to do a work around to keep units running while parts are being shipped. This family owned local business gets a high recommendation from me.

AMHAC is a wonderful company. Their customer service is always helpful and a technician is sent the same day. On the coldest day of the year our heating system broke on a Saturday. AMHAC has an emergency service line that immediately called me back and sent a technician out to fix. The service plans they offer are affordable and cover both AC and heat. I highly recommend.

Recently had a maintenance check up with another company which resulted in malfunction 24hrs after their visit. We next contacted AMHAC for assistance and they were exceptional! Came to the site multiple times, called in advance, ordered parts. Even came ahead of appointment time to make sure they were not missing anything! Technicians were very well mannered, friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable. Overall, fantastic job and customer service, we were able to get our heat back! We will continue with their service moving forward. Highly recommend this company.

Very professional service. Janet provided great service on the phone to keep me informed on part I needed for my unit. Technician Desmond arrived fixed and sat in my attic for an hour making sure the heat upstairs in my house worked. Gave me information on what he did in simple terms. Everything runs great and couldn't be more happier. I have used AMHAC for many years and they come on time and finish the job. Highly recommended.

We have been using AMHAC to service our home's A/C and heating units for over twenty years. Joe was at our home today in Greenwich to check an issue we were having with our upstairs A/C. Once he determined the problem he tried various ways to fix it. He was very thorough and communicated very clearly. Before leaving our house, he also checked all the radiators as well. We would recommend AMHAC to anybody.

The serviceman called before he arrived, was wearing a mask and put booties over his shoes to protect the floor. He serviced the furnace, changed the filter and checked the thermostat which had been giving us trouble. Avril determined that the thermostat needed to be changed and clearly explained our options. He proceeded to install the new thermostat and showed us how to operate it.

He patiently made certain that we understood how to regulate the temperature and even wrote the instructions on a card to place near the thermostat. I am a retired teacher and I would give him A+ for his expertise, his respectful demeanor and his pleasant personality.

I would like to thank Janet for all of her help. My heating unit stopped working very early this morning. I care for my aging Mom and really needed help. Janet showed great compassion and great professionalism in addressing my problem. Janet sent us Alvaro, the heating technician who diagnosed the problem and had the parts to repair it! Alvaro was very professional and patient in explaining the repairs. I am very grateful for Janet and for Alvaro's help today and would highly recommend.

I called for a furnace diagnostic with a Con Ed rebate referral. They required my credit card number. I gave it to them and the service was done. A few weeks later someone calls and says my card did not go through. They admitted to me that someone took the numbers wrong. They ran it again and it went through my bank. That was 4 weeks ago. I got an alert today that they have charged me again. Please get a competent billing and accounting staff if you even have such a dept. Will never use again.

Had an emergency when ConEd shut off our gas without warning. It turned out we had multiple gas leaks and called AMHAC. They came immediately and did an incredible job finding and repairing all of the leaks. Special shout outs to Desmond, Elvis and Demetrius for being courteous and efficient. Pat, an engineer, was incredibly helpful in getting ConEd to resume our service. Can't say enough good things about these guys and AMHAC. highly recommend.

AMHAC made an unfortunate event (broken HVAC) into a pleasant experience! I have complete trust in their recommendations, pricing and installation.

Our HVAC System needed service and the folks at AMHAC did a great job at restoring our cooling system. This is the second time we have used this company. The technicians were courteous, knowledgeable, were masked and took care to use plastic coverings on their feet to prevent mudding our wooden floors. They arrived on time, and did a professional job for a reasonable price. Would use them again.

New condenser installed on 6/9/2020 and noticed AC taking longer to cool and not reaching on room. A phone call was made report the issue. Since the new installation has one year warranty. Expected there would be a better response. The call was reported on 23rd and it took 24 hrs to get a call back from David espino. David confirmed a technician will be sent to check the issue today on 25th in the afternoon. No one turned up and no update. So imagine a new installation gets this kind of follow up how other service calls would be.

AMHAC has always been prompt and done a great work for me. I have replaced my whole ac/heating unit. Also, just replaced by hot water heater with them. I also have an annual maintenance contract with them. No complaints!

We had used AMHAC in the past to install a new split air conditioning system. We were pleased with the results, so we chose them again for a retrofit of whole-house humidifiers into our existing multi-zone system. The experience from quote to final clean-up was smooth, timely, professional and clean. The team led by Mohan was courteous and careful in the house.

The installation has a finished look. Before they left the team made triple-sure everything was working properly, and took the time to be sure we understood everything, and that all our questions had been answered. I highly recommend this family business.

It began with the personable sales rep, Mohan. He gave me a price for central air conditioning installation which was the most reasonable of the several prices I had gotten. The installation was smooth sailing and it works great! As an aside, one of the guys, from scent, detected something wrong in basement sink room. Turned out to be a leak in wall behind sink. Priceless!

DO NOT use this company for any AC repairs. They are Predators. Especially if you are elderly or don't otherwise understand home repairs. Called them when AC stopped blowing cold - they came and said it was probably a small leak in line - I don't even think they went in the attic- the techs were in a rush to leave. Well they then put sealant through the line and said you should be good. Charged $800 DOLLARS! Lo and behold that lasted not even the night. Called them back and they came and said oh wow there's a huge hole on the line!

Another $500 DOLLARS! Why didn't you find that huge hole the first time!? And they said they need to come back again at another $500 DOLLARS To fill the line and finalize repairs. You've got to be kidding me almost $2000 for a leak in the line! DO NOT not use these people they are predators and will rob you blind. CALL SOMEONE ELSE!

We have had AMHAC out twice to repair a zone problem with our unit and they are, as another poster mentioned, either incompetent or con artists. In two visits, they have not been able to fix what should be a relatively straight forward problem.

Have been a customer for a number of years. When our gas-fired boiler went out, they would not give us an appointment for 3 weeks! Major fail. Taking our business to a competitor.

Worst service company I have ever worked with. They are chronically late or don't show up for appointments and never call. Even worse they ordered the wrong pressure gauge TWICE for my furnace and act like it's no big deal. I would highly recommend not using them!

They've done satisfactory, albeit expensive, work on my heating and cooling systems. Their tech screwed something up once, which they came back and fixed (and, I think, they fired the tech). Last month their engineer came to inspect my heating system to give me a price on some work (not time-critical). It's been a month. I've left two messages and I've sent two emails and still no price or other info. I shouldn't have to chase them down to hire them.

AMHAC was quick in there response time and was able to diagnose and fix the problem quickly! I highly recommend Adam the AC/heating engineer! He is an outstanding professional!

Our 1st floor AC was not turning on so we called AMHAC for a non-emergency visit. I had Jorge as our technician and he was great! He was courteous (put on booties when entering my home) and explained what the issue was after climbing through our attic crawl space to get to the air handlers. Being home with my two kids, I really felt he was honest and friendly.

I didn't know we needed to get the A/C system blown out at the end of the summer, and that was the cause of it not working this spring. Thanks to Jorge, now I can better maintain the system. 4 stars instead of 5 because although I'm not sure how similar pricing is across HVAC companies, I thought it was pricey for less than a 1 hour visit.

I have the highest regard for this company and their customer service. My mother had to have an ancient boiler replaced. From the office staff to the technicians every aspect of the installation was flawless. I would highly recommend this company as they are professional and have the integrity lacking in so many businesses today.

Contrary to some of the reviews on Yelp, I had nothing short of an extraordinaire experience. I did my homework, and shopped around fetching 3 quotes in total. AMHAC delivered me the best bang for the buck, and did everything they promised to do and more. Pat the engineer visited the job site almost everyday to ensure the installation was going smoothly.excellent quality control!

When we encountered some problems, they came up with alternative solutions without charging me any extra. I could not have been more pleased. Unlike other work crews, they really know how to tidy up after a days work, and any mess created disappeared before each day was done. My home now cools, and heats properly unlike before. These guys certainly know their stuff, and even if they are a bit expensive like some others claim on here, you certainly pay for what you get, and that's quality, and experience knowing the job will be done right the first time. My wife and I strongly recommend Amhac. We were recently looking for an air conditioning company to install central air conditioning in a "pre war" condo in Manhattan. Central air in older NYC apartments are ectreamly challenging, and therefore very rare. I was referred to Marc Berman and the Amhac team by a trusted contractor that I've previously worked with. Mr. Berman's team was outstanding in every stage of the project.

The central air design was uniquely innovative, maximizing the cooling air - while maintaining the structure of the apartment. The project was finished on schedule and on budget. Other building residents and buyers have looked at Amhac's work on our apartment, and hired Amhac to install central air in their apartments.

As a follow up i never received a contract as specified. I called again june 1st and carlos was able to help me. He emailed me the contract. I now have the contract and i emailed carlos requesting information on how to pay for plan. Im waiting on reply Since my review was not based on quality of actual repairs i consider my issue resolved

I tried them because they had good rating from BBB but then they show up totally incompetent. They didn't fix the problem the first time and charged again to come back to fix it right. All at the same time, they had such an attitude. I don't know how these guys stay in business. We ended up hiring someone else to finish the job and install a new central air conditioning unit.
