They have serviced my ac for years. They came out today and told me I need to replace it and quoted me $9900. Ridiculous!

After arriving 50 minutes late for a scheduled appointment, the rep Mark went on a one-track sales pitch. He showed that he wasn't much interested in what you were trying to achieve in a new AC system. I asked him to provide me with some options regarding a new system. What he provided me was a one solution answer to my request. His response to me when asking about the other possible options that we discussed was to tell me that they wouldn't be the cheapest provider.

I wasn't asking for that. It seemed like he didn't care what I wanted or was looking for information wise. He was incapable of listening to my needs. I was asking for options to consider. When he didn't seem to have answers to a couple of requests, he excused himself to call his boss. He came back and truly ran off without completing our discussion saying that his boss would be calling me.

He didn't leave a quote or even get my email to send one. Didn't so much as get a business card. Worst sales call from a company/service provider that I have experienced in my entire life. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THESE PEOPLE NO MATTER WHAT THEIR NEWSPAPER ADS SAY. BY THE WAY, THE SYSTEM THAT THEY PROPOSED WAS THE MOST EXPENSIVE BY A LOT THAT I RECEIVED FROM ANYONE. NEVER HEARD BACK FROM ANYONE.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! If you do, BE SURE TO RECORD ALL CALLS WITH THEM! My Trane unit is under warranty, so they were called to fix an issue. They charged me to assess it, which is fine obviously. However, during the initial assessment, I was being charged 1.5 hours when the guy was there for 20 minutes. I called to dispute the charges, and they reduced them saying "it was a technician error." (went from $280 to $120).

The tech said he had to charge me for driving from the last job to my house. That should have been the first red flag. After the assessment, they called me ask to approve "the maximum amount of $723 to replace the broken part(a small valve that was $35 under warranty), but I was told it will most likely be less!" Additionally, I was told "I would NOT be charged for the technician's drive time to pick up parts nor driving to my house." At the end of my warranty fix, they were ready to charge me that 'maximum amount' of $723 despite the fact they were done an hour earlier than expected.

The manager, Jenny, claimed she never told me any of that in quotes above (thus why I suggest getting everything recorded since they do all their invoices by phone. shady). Her supervisor, I can't remember her name, was extremely rude and unprofessional. I'm in the real estate industry and know how to handle myself. She just spoke over me and would not listen.

I ended up paying, and sure hope this experience doesn't happen to anyone else! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE, OR AT LEAST RECORD ALL CALLS WITH THEM! ALSO, BE SURE TO DOCUMENT THE EXACT TIME THE TECH ARRIVES AND IS DONE!

AC quit last week they send out a tech, and said we needed a new motor. Ok it's hot. We needed to have it fixed. I wasn't home, Tech tells my wife. The ac is full of mold and bacteria. He recommended that install two ultraviolet lights inside the unit. One in the vent and one above the coils. He scared her about all the germs and said that this would stop Corona.

She told him go ahead. He install the lights in a latter of minutes. Not saying the lights stay on 24 hours a day seven days a week. He charged her $1700,00. Wow. Looked on Amazon and they are $169.00 a piece Totally over charged. They scare seniors to buy there junk. Ultraviolet will kill germs, but really over charge us on junk. By the way the light in vent fell off twice in a week.

I had nice cold air leaking interior the garage. When the Tech came back the next day with a new motor. I asked him if he cleaned the coils? He said no. In inspecting the coils they were clean and no mold. He said that's an extra charge. I asked about the mold. He had nothing to say. Charged $500 bucks for motor. Do not recommend this company that uses scare tactics on senior citizens.! Feel cheated by this company Air Masters.

They work hard to get you to buy a system from them, but once you buy it they do not care about you anymore. The customer service is awful! My one year old system broke down and they charged me $90 for a diagnostic test. $75 for labor; and $35 for "return shipping fees" on a $12 part that was under warranty. I could have purchased the part for less than the shipping fee they charged me.

I would have been OK if they had charged me for the diagnostic test OR labor, but they should not have charged me for both. It was a 1 year old system. They didn't care - they had me on the hook. I am very unhappy with this company and will not use them for my other homes. That's right, I have multiple rental properties and they blew the change at any of those homes. Bad business.

I wish I could give less than 0 stars. This company charged me $1200 to change my air filters and they charged my credit card for this ridiculously inflated cost without my knowledge or authorization. Apparently they kept my card on file from last year's work which they were also not authorized to do. They provided fake documents to the bank to keep the money and when I went into the office to complain they treated me like I was not even there. Whatever you do, do not hire Air Masters of Tampa Bay to do any business with you!

We shopped around and received multiple proposals but Air Masters offered the best value. They brought additional manpower and expertise to solve some some challenges that involved very tight spaces and running additional ductwork to reconfigure the original installation. Thanks to Tony and Jason for designing the solution and setting the strategy. Thanks to Pedro and Chino who did a very thorough and professional job. We are very pleased and would highly recommend their business.

The person from Air Masters was simply first-rate. Showed up with a mask as safety is important right now with someone older in the house. Clean, professional and reasonable, Air Masters is a resource for maintenance. They worked for hours and now, having a little peace of mind is worth getting maintenance before something breaks down. Carlos was our service person and he was just so professional and patient. Recommend.

Bought AC February last year. Broken down multiple times since. Last year was without for a full week because apparently they don't carry parts for AC they sold me. After initial call that time I called multiple times, never could speak to the person handling my account and she never called me back until the following week when the parts finally arrived. 10 year warranty on labor, parts, compressor, and it is broken again now after 1 year and about 5 months and they want $100+ for diagnostics and labor just to look at it. Despite the full warranty. Don't stand behind work. Poor customer service. Don't buy here.

Got my semi annual service form Alfredo with Airmasters. They arranged a next day appointment for me at regular price, their customer service was excellent, and Alfredo did a great job with my system. A great customer experience!

4.5 years ago got a brand new unit. For a 2000sf house paid almost 7,000. Today dealing with a problem in my outside unit and getting charge $500 and $95 for diagnostic on a part in guarantee. Pricey company. Cancel my sched to be available at 8:00 am and not news until 10:30 Update on this case.a lizard found dead on a panel unit blocking voltage. Thanks to a second opinion Magda Roberts

We have been using Air Masters for 2 years now on my home as well as my mothers home. I have to say these people are on their game all the time. Now i do pay for the 1 year service membership and have seen that it saves me money and i do get wonderful service all the time with AM. The best part is they keep the same person coming to my home every three months. Scott is the man.

I feel that he is watching out for my lifetime investment and gives me a breakdown on what to watch for and how to stay efficient in my home which totally saves me money. I do realize that here in Florida we have a ton of AC/ Heat companies. However, i have found a good thing with Air Masters and they definately will get my endorsement. Hands down.

Do not let a few bad seeds discourage you on checking them out as i have just read the reviews with some unhappy customers. it looks like some people want the world to kiss their. try them and ask For Scott

Getting an appointment when air is down is a waste of time. They will not call you back and when you schedule an appointment. They cannot honor it. Something comes up. Vacation home here with no air. Have a brand new unit that doesn't work (less than a year) and they cannot find time to check it on my vacation time. So open windows and get down 80 degree breeze to cool you down. This has happened 3 times. Unit shuts down and gets a band aid and doesn't work next time.

I contacted air masters for a yearly maintenance inspection, as I wanted to make sure my air conditioning was running at top performance before summer.told them that I purchased a smart thermostat and asked if they can install this for me, so I can save on a second service call, and I travel constantly for my job.the gentleman said absolutely, it would be the inspection charge and thermostat at time and materials.

I said that was fine and scheduled a Monday at 3pm. I also stated that I have a 2 story house and that they would have to bring a extension ladder to reach the air handler from exterior wall.again he said no problem.the technician called me at 2pm and said because it was raining they would have to reschedule for tomorrow. I said ok, even though this isn't exactly what I want to do on my day off.so the technician shows next day with no ladder.so happens a guy working on my house had one so he said we could use his.otherwise it looked like another cancellation and another wasted day.

I explained about the thermostat installation he just shook his head ok. I said I had to run and drop off someone and I would be back in 20 minutes.he said fine. I came back he said all done. I said how about my thermostat.he said he didn't have time and to reschedule.he put on service order he was their for one hour and half, it wasn't more then40 minutes.

I was so mad I contacted marylin Mack; she said Iam so sorry it was a miss understanding but they would take care of me and we will call you back, ,,,m onth later and never a call. I would never recommend this company customer service is horrible, ,,

Air Masters is great and I am sitting here writing a review in my nice, cold AC. After ARS/ Home Depot tried to cheat me by trying to put in a 16 SEER Carrier AC unit for the same price. Air Masters put in a 17 SEER Trane unit and air handler. Tony Johnson was my salesperson and Robert was my installer. When I met with Mr. Johnson, he showed me how hot our house was through his heat sensor.

He noticed, after four quotes by other companies and our home inspector when we bought the house, that we needed a second return. The AC unit is not getting enough air to push out cold air to the rest of the house. That was the magic trick and we are freezing now! We had a working 3 Ton Bryant unit and our electricity bills are almost hitting $300-$400 in the summer months.

With this new unit, I can't wait to see the bill. Robert was a great installer and VERY knowledgable. He even informed us on some items that were in out attic and how a two-stage unit works. Other than being a little messy, the team did a wonderful job and I just had to spend a few hours cleaning up. Already the company has called and would like to have a follow-up appointment to make sure all went well.

Listen to me, you don't have to hire these guys, but at least let them give you a quote. They were not the cheapest quote, but they did many things to our house that others were not going to do or did not even investigate. Thank you for being honest and I look forward to enjoying many years of HOT Florida summers and COLD paradise in my house!

It's never fun when your air conditioner breaks during the summer! Luckily, Air Masters of Tampa Bay were able to replace our air conditioner in less than 24 hours! Our current home has a 17-year-old Trane air conditioner so naturally we wanted to continue using the same brand because they last forever. Unfortunately most of the air conditioner companies in Tampa don't work with Trane or want to work with Trane.

After receiving a ridiculous quote from another company and being told that we would have to settle for an inferior model or live weeks without A/C we were recommended to call Air Masters of Tampa Bay. After a call Scott was at our house an hour later. He was able to sell us the exact model that we wanted and was able to give us a much better deal.

The next morning Robert and Austin arrived exactly when promised and they installed our new air conditioner before the end of the day. My only regret is that we didn't call sooner!

Air Masters refuses to stand behind their work, diagnosis, or honor their written guarantee. My A/C unit was manufactured in 2017 and installed in 2018. We moved into the house in August of 2018. 3/5/19. I contact my manufacturer because my unit is blowing warm. Manufacturer refers me to Air Masters. 3/6/19 Air Masters comes out and says that my system is completely empty and there is no freon.

They allegedly perform a pressure and vacuum test. In writing they tell me "no leak found" they then tell me that I simply need a charge of freon. Well the freon costs $384.00, add in another $363.00 for the service call and diagnosis and I spent $747.00 total. 3 weeks later on 3/30/19. Same thing. A/C is blowing warm. Air Masters comes out this time and says that $384.00 of freon is gone.

In writing they now say "System has leak." Air Masters refuses to stand behind their work from 3 weeks ago, now wants another $500-$700 just to find the leak that wasn't there 3 weeks ago. That is $1250.00 -$1450.00 for just diagnosis, that doesn't include any repairs, additional freon or anything.

Just sad. I called Air Masters to have them look at our AC that had stop working and i was told on the phone it would be a 79 dollar diagnostic charge. I agree to this, the guy came out he opened the outside panel and he opened the inside panel and said i had a leak. I was told it would be 120 or what ever it was i said no thank you and that we wear done.

As he was leaving i was told it would be 154 dollars. They tried to charge me for 30 min labor as well as a 12 miscellaneous charge and a fuel charge of 15. Just be aware they are out for the money and not to help.

Absolutely horrendous experience. 1. New AC doesnt work properly 2. Getting anyone to follow up will take days to weeks, and 4 times just no-showed. 3. The process of getting a new working ac installed is now at 12k dollars, taking 4 months and counting

Just wanted to shout out a hurrah for Casey! Her technician was not available for a few hours, I explained my problem and she walked me through the steps (face timing me ) to check my automatic shut off valve - we fixed the problem. Thanks again Casey for your help - I will call this company in the future for any problems with my A/C
