I paid over $700 for a plumbing job that included installing an outside faucet in mid-August'21. After 4 months of use (Aug, Sep, Oct of 2021 and mid-May to mid-June of 2022) I found a major faucet leak that I expected to be fixed at no cost. IMPORTANT: The 6-month warrantee is from installation date, not the period of use: very convenient from the business' perspective. Naturally, from their standpoint, "I" must have done something wrong to cause that faucet failure.

Their solution: They will "help" me and replace the damaged part(s) at no cost to me and charge me $329 for labor to do the whole job all over again. "We can't do that for free, " the manager said. As I see it, this company is more after making a sale, an immediate sale, rather than building a relationship with clients. How likely do you think I will call them for future plumbing work? How long will they stay in business? Recent reviews do not bide well.

The manager John takes advantage of the elderly and pressures they in to making decisions on the spot, he is a bully. DO NOT LET YOUR ELDERLY parents or neighbors deal with John with out some one else being present. They over charge for their products and services! They offer the free furnace and never gave my parents the furnace. They refuse to return phone calls!

They didn't follow through on the service they were scheduled to provide. In fact, they didn't show up at all. All I received was a phone call essentially indicating they changed their minds. Save yourself some time and frustration by choosing a different company to work with.

This company or tech that came out to my home is a SCAM ARTIST. Tech came out in the after hours service. Told me what the problem was. Said to fix the issue it would be $6,200 and that we might as well just replace our 4 year old system for $8,000! He said it like it was no big deal. Obviously we were going to get a second opinion. The other company came out fixed the same problem Action's tech said was the problem, for $843!

Not only did he fix the problem, he was kind, informational and clearly did not take advantage of us. Our A/C is working great now and we even signed with them to come out and do maintenance once a year. If you are looking for an A/C company call THOMPSON'S COMFORT CONNECTION if you don't want to be taken advantage of. If you like to waste your money then Action is a great choice!

It's the busy season so we waited a few weeks for the appointment, which we expected. The morning of the appointment we got a call that the tech would be a little late. I wasn't surprised by the lateness, the contact was unexpected and appreciated. A second call let me know when the tech was on his way, also appreciated. The tech was polite to me, treated our property with respect and completed his work in a professional manner. He explained everything to me, and then to my husband on the phone, he waited patiently while we discussed our options and decided what we wanted to do.

Don't waste your time. My husband called on May 11th to schedule an air conditioning tune up. They scheduled the appointment for June 6th between 12-3pm and said they would call when they were on there way. By 3:45 when we hadn't heard anything, my husband called to see what was happening. He was told he was on the calendar but didn't make it to the schedule.? whatever that means.

She scheduled him for June 7th, the next day, same time and when we hadn't heard anything by 3:30, my husband called again to see what was going on. This time he was told we weren't in their system at all. How is it possible that yesterday we were in the system but today we magically disappeared? She then asked if we wanted to schedule another appointment, and my husband told her absolutely not since they have no idea what they heck they are doing and have wasted our time for 2 days now. I really hate businesses like this and have no idea how they actually stay in business.

Several weeks ago I;had a clogged toilet. I called several other companies, non of which worked on weekends. Since it was Friday evening I was told I would have to wait until Monday. I do not have a corner gas station that I could run to for 2 days. I tried one more company, Action. They were so helpful. The tech was knowledgeable, polite and performed the service perfectly.

He had to do some extra exploration that may have resulted in an additional charge, but choose not to charge me. This company is, as far as I am concerned, one of the best. I can say without hesitation that you would not be sorry it you use Action!

I had a problem with our condo with water backing up in the sink they gave an one line estimate for $8,000 and said they would not do anything until it was paid. The HOA paid it. The items on the estimate were not all done and they still have not given us a refund. I've always loved action plumbing but I'm really disappointed as the work that was done was only about $3,500 and now I'm being ghosted and they're not getting back to me saying they haven't figured it out yet and it's been over two weeks since I've asked for a detailed estimate and a refund to the hoa. My previous reviews were always five star but this is crazy

Excellent. The technician sent our house to do annual inspections of the heating and cooling systems was exemplary. Jim photographed areas of our furnaces so we could see for ourselves their condition(s): no technician has done this for us before. One of our furnaces is in an attic, unreachable without a ladder or trap door in a ten-foot-high ceiling, so photographs were very much appreciated.

This technician also was careful to install for us a new furnace filter we'd set out, without our having to ask; he even returned to his truck for a ladder to do so, though he'd already put that ladder back in his truck earlier. Appreciated this too! Thank you!

My feed back has been requested so here it is- I have given a blended rating based on the following:- I contacted Action Plumbing for a clogged kitchen drain. My contact by telephone was good and efficient with same day response. The technician Alex Halton arrived, and in my experience is a wonderful representative of your company. Professional, personable, and good to explain what was going on.

I give a solid 5 star rating to Alex and the rest of the strictly customer service aspect of my experience. All very important. However, and this is a very big however. My clogged sink apparently required the process known as "Hydro Jetting" The price for which is $1,200 no matter how long it takes. I admit I came close to fainting when I heard the amount.

Well the Hydro Jetting took about 30 minutes from set up to completion, with the entire on premise visit being only approximately an hour and a half. Although I believe Alex gave me every consideration on price he could which I appreciate--that's still $800 per hour! To be fair this was explained up front, but in my view under such circumstances pricing this outrageous is highly exploitative. I give a zero star rating based on exorbitant pricing.

We purchased a tankless water heater system three or four years ago, but it's still under warranty. We've been without hot water for five to six weeks while the technician ghosts us, the dispatchers promise to have the technician call and managers don't call as promised. Would not recommend as while they are willing to sell you a product and take your money, customer service is lacking. This many weeks in they are telling me to be patient. I'm unable to remain patient after this many weeks with no hot water

Tyler was amazing! He fixed our plumbing on short notice when we needed water after trying to fix it ourselves! He was very nice, made sure I understood what he was doing and really tried to save me money (which I appreciated since I'm a new home owner). He was very professional and personable and he will be the only plumber I use from now on. I really appreciate someone who is a great at their job and also doesn't make it seem like I'm inconveniencing them. He was really great and I would recommend him to anyone with plumbing needs :)

Alex and Ryan were very professional and great to have work in my house. Installed a new toilet and new water heater the same day they came put to diagnose the issues. After the job was done Their was a little trouble getting their schedule to line up with mine to finish cleanup which is the only reason I'm not giving 5 stars. But overall it was a relatively painless experience and I'm very happy with their work and customer service.

I called to get my house repaired and a water heater installed. They offered a good price, but terrible service. They had to cut out drywall and I expected clean cuts, not tears in the ceiling. They then messed up the plumbing job by making pipes stick out of the wall. They were very unprofessional and even played loud music and didn't communicate with us.

After enough complaining they did come back to fix it. We called to complain and it took them weeks to answer back. They tried to make us at fault and told us that we should be glad that they came back in the first place. I really should've read the Yelp reviews as the Google reviews make them seem like totally different people. I ended up getting totally ripped off.

Jim was great! He went over all my concerns and answer all my questions. He thoroughly discussed the options we had available, best options for our family and house size and warranty on products. Installation was next day, the people Action sent were on time, clean and professional. Jim came out per our request to do a walk through and answer any questions my husband and I had. We've been please with the service and our new furnace.

I have always been a loyal customer of Action. I have referred Action to many of my real estate clients as well. This most recent experience was so bad, I will never refer to them again. They were supposed to do a task Monday, then they pushed to Friday and never showed up to complete the job. Called first thing the following Monday morn and the tech did the job partially but didn't complete.

This property was to change ownership that day so the job being finished was critical. Called the office immediately after the tech left and was promised he would be back out same day. He didn't show up. They called me the next morning to get the guys out. In the meantime the new owner took possession and now they can't get in. This puts the seller in breach of a legal contract as we agreed to a repair that action didn't finish. Will never use this company again.

Went out to my back yard to find my hose bib leaking lots of water and was able to get Alex and Ryan to stop by same day. They were super knowledgeable and friendly. They didn't mind me asking lots of questions and even diagnosed some other unrelated plumbing issues I'd been having since buying my house. The best way to describe their service is that it's more like I called a friend or family member to come take a look. There weren't any hidden costs, and I was able to understand everything on the invoice, even though I'm a total layman. A+ Thanks guys!

Xavier installed a new furnace for us and did a great job. He got the job done very quickly. Jake came out to take carbon monoxide readings on the new furnace and go over our new unit, he was awesome. Jake was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Service: Install heating system

Xavier and Leo, the installers were outstanding. Efficient, courteous, and knowledgeable. They didn't leave any cleanup for us either. The installation finishes were well crafted. I would recommend them highly to anyone who needs a furnace installed. The furnace works great and it looks better than it did before. Service: Repair HVAC

Not deserving of one star! My Grandparents hired Action Plumbing on several occasions to fix clogged bathtub and shower drains and they would come out and charge them high rates and the problems still were not fixed. Then after Thanksgiving they came out again to fix the plumbing issues and they chipped the porcelain on the bathtub and covered it with putty.

Then they said the furnace needed to be replaced. So they came back and pulled out the old furnace onto her carpet where all the old water and dirt fell onto the carpet. They did not wear shoe coverings and tracked in dirt and mud. After charging my Grandparents over $12000.00 for a new furnace mind you. Now comes yesterday. My Grandmother's carbon monoxide alarms had been going off.

Being a widow as of this last December she didn't really know what to do. After reading the alarm we called Dominion Energy and they immediately advised us to get her evacuated from the house until a technician could get out there. Once the tech arrived and went into the house, his meter immediately went off. He started his way down into the basement and the meter was showing 40 which is extremely dangerous!

He found the source coming from the new furnace. So we immediately called Action Plumbing and their dispatcher was rude and unsympathetic to the situation. Then it took almost two hours for someone to show up. The man who showed up immediately went down to look at the problem and found that the other men who installed the furnace did not vent the furnace properly and the exhaust was back flowing into the house.

Plus the furnace was not even secured! He said that they did a terrible job on the installation and that never should have happened. My Grandmother enjoys having my dogs stay with her during the day so she is not alone. If they had of been in that house any longer they would not have been here today. This is a serious situation that could have killed someone.

My Grandmother had carbon monoxide poisoning. Who knows how many more furnaces were installed by these people that were done incorrectly and they didn't care enough to worry about the outcome. We have put a call in this morning to the owner of the company. We will see where that gets us.

My wife called action out to look at the furnace. Our house was freezing at night. They came out right away. At 11 pm the guys showed up and realized our furnace was having multiple issues. After researching repair parts it was evident that getting a new furnace would be our best bet. We are very happy with our new system. They installed it the very next morning.

It's working awesome. Never had such a quiet furnace. Our last one made so much noise. This new one I can't even hear. Having a warm house and I can't even here it run. Very nice quality job!

I had a furnace put in about 5 to 6 months back and it stopped working about 3 weeks into in stall.i was 1st told it was do to my electrical having issues. I had one part of that fixed which I knew was an issue (a switch). After that was fixed I turned on the furnace and it was still having issues working correctly. Michael and Jesse came out and I was able to let them know what I had heard in the pipeline of intake and exhaust after looking into the angles and not so eye appealing job of the installers they fixed the situation.

Update: bumped my review to two stars after management called and talked with me for quite some time regarding how things were handled and what they could do better in the future. They offered some drain chemicals as a show of good will. Hopefully they make some changes.

I made a schedule for an FREE estimate. They quote me $2,800 for replacing the water heater, while other plumbers prices were $1,000 cheaper. I told the sales guy, that I was not interested that they were too expensive. The guy said, it $60 for the estimate. I told him the office told me it was a free estimate. The guy said It's free if we do the work, so its $60.

I told him I was not going to pay him that I will talk to his office manager. In spite, he got up and put his dirty work boots on the top of my chair, and started to tied his shoelaces there. I couldn't believe the degree of disrespect. Really trashy company. I will NEVER do business with them.

I had a drain that was clogged and about 3-4 inches of standing (clear) water in our basement. I called a rooter service (it must be a subsidiary of Action Plumbing because their trucks say Action and they answer the phone as Action Plumbing) and they came out the next day. They were hours late, but did show. They told me that I had a collapsed drain and that it would be $2,500 to fix.

This was a Friday. They were supposed to come back first thing Monday morning, but didn't' show until 3:00 pm. They continued to find/add things until my bill came to almost $6K. I am not disputing that anything they fixed didn't necessarily need to be done. The 2 guys that showed up were very friendly and respectful. So far, besides the lateness, I felt I was treated fairly, although my plumbing expertice is limited.

They had to come back this morning (Tuesday) to reroute my AC condensate line and brought with them 2 extra guys. These were the "camera guys". They said they would look at my main sewer line and let me know what they found. Not surprisingly, they found problems. I am not necessarily debating the validity of the issues, but am extremely annoyed at their high-pressure sales tactics.

I told the one guy (that cornered me in my home office) that I would speak to my boyfriend, decide what we wanted to do (and how we were going to pay the now extra $6500) and would get back to them. I could tell the guy did not want to take that as an answer. He kept using scare tactics to get me to agree to the repair right then. I told him we were probably going to get a HELOC next year anyway and may have to move that up a bit.

He didn't like that answer and offered up their 0% financing to get started "right now". I told him that I wasn't agreeing to anything or signing anything today about 3 times. When we do decide to upgrade the sewer line (and we will be preemptive) we will not be using Action. They try to upsell everything. I just want an honest plumber that will tell me what is wrong and not try to upsell me on everything else with crazy high-pressured sales tactics.

Called these yahoos on a Sunday when my AC stopped working on equipment that is 3 months old (installed by another HVAC company). Technician after consulting with his boss by phone proceeded to tell me my furnace all of the circuit board was fried from a power surge in my furnace (I had no idea we had a power surge. because it never happened) and told me to repair it would cost $3K (which he said would take 10 days to get parts) or replace for $6K (the furnace he wanted to replace was purchased from standard supply by another HVAC company for $2 grand and is 2 ton furnace that serves the area my kids sleep, we have two units in our house) and said he could replace same day (have the quotes in my email).

I wwnt to make it super clear, his boss was calling the shots, this kid was super green. I told him no thanks and asked to pay his service fee and sent him on his way, he was persistent on replacement. Got in touch with Kelly's, the coil had frozen, told me to replace filter, turn off for 12 hours and then start again. Guess what? AC works great!

This is second time action has lied to me about equipment and pressured to replace. Call someone else. This is the second time Action has pressured me to replace perfectly good working equipment at two different residences (we moved last fall). Quotes from Sunday attached.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU NEED A/C SERVICE! They are not interested in servicing or repairing your units and will apply high pressure tactics to try and get you to buy a new A/C compressor and/or furnace. Action plumbing came out today for A/C service. I wanted a tune-up because I didn't feel my unit was functioning efficiently and it does not cool as well as I would like on very hot days.

I was told my unit was not worth fixing and then was pressured to buy a new A/C compressor for $6500 despite my stating multiple times that I was not interested in a new unit, just repair, and that I would not want to buy a new unit without doing research. I encouraged to finance the compressor interest free and was then told no one else would be able to provide a lower price for a compressor and actively discouraged from obtaining second opinions.

In addition, The technician quoted me $1600 dollars (after 10% off) for cleaning the compressor and adding R22 Freon. I felt uncomfortable and even mentioned to the technician that it seemed like he was too interested in selling me a new unit. When I declined to buy a new compressor, it was then recommended that I buy a newer, quieter, higher efficiency furnace, and that Action would provide the compressor for free and at their "special price sale price from last month" of $10,000.

While the technician was there, I called Manwill Plumbing, Heating, and Air and they gave me a ballpark estimate for a compressor of $3500 and for about $4500 for a furnace (installed) while being careful to note that they would have to come to my house to provide an accurate estimate. The technician (who said his brother is the manager) asked who I called and when I told him he smiled and sort of laughed.

He then proceeded to ask me "well, what if I match that price, I just hate losing to those guys". When I politely declined, the technician packed up his things and left without inquiring if I wanted him to perform the repairs I had called him out to do in the first place. I subsequently called Manwill back (who I have used before in the past and liked at a different house) and they will be coming out to service my air conditioner at the end of the month.

My experience today was very disturbing to me and I don't feel that Action is a trustworthy company. I will never use them again for anything and would not recommend them to anyone.

How can people take advantage of you when you're down? My A/C went down when I was out of town for work. My wife and two kids were left in the heat for 3 days. I found it perplexing since my A/C condenser was just replaced last year around this time. I know a little bit about air conditioners and tried to troubleshoot a few things when I got home.

One of the possible problems would be the capacitor. If you have a back capacitor, the compressor or Dan won't work. The unit I have is now a 410 as opposed to the old R-22's. I worked a little bit with the 410's but not enough to day I know it well. I looked for the capacitor but found that it was in a weird location inside the condenser housing so I was unable to check it.

I called several companies Anna all of them said it would take 1-3 days before someone could come out to see you. The temperatures just started to hit the high 90's so not having a/c right now would not be good. About 3 hours later, every one of the a/c companies called me back to say that someone could be out to see me in 20-30 mins. How could this be possible if they took 1-3 business days before?

When the technicians came by, they said that the capacitor was bad and that the unit needed more refrigerant. The bill would be $400 for the capacitor that was "hard to find", $400 for the refrigerant because they had to charge us for the entire bottle and $250 for the labor. First of all, capacitors are only $50. I understand markup, but a $350 markup? Also, if they are charging $400 for the refrigerant, are they going to leave me the unused portion?

We got hold of the company that installed the unit. We couldn't get s as hold of him because his phone wasn't working properly and he was in the process of getting a new phone. He actually called when the technicians were here and actually talked to them. He said he works take care of us and that he would come back to us the next day. He came by and inspected my lines ABC found a nut that was loose and leaking refrigerant.

He tightened up the nut and added refrigerant. He charged me $0 to come out. BTW, while I was away, my wife got another estimate from Monarch and they wanted $1800 to replace the piston line. I don't recall A/C units having a piston line. I am completely disgusted how these businesses are taking advantage of people, making them stew in the heat assuming they will pay anything to keep cool. $1050 for a part I didn't need and refrigerant that I had to pay for the whole canister. My house is down to 71 degrees now!

Yelp needs to have a negative # option! This "business" if you wanna call it that Broke sprinkler lines, they threw the Broken parts back into the ground and covered them with dirt! I have photos of all of this! Then they left rocks & gravel in my yard which took SEVERAL hours of work to remove. I had to seed and sod my front lawn. They left tire tracks on my sidewalks and driveway.

They were there for months! This was all to the extreme point where I had to hire professionals to come and power rake and fix my yard, due to HOA rules and the ridiculous destruction. My yard is DESTROYED, my sprinkler lines left broken! I have lines that are completely disconnected now. And they covered over the sprinklers put in two brass clean outs with concrete! : I have been screamed at and belittle and disrespectful left and right by employees and MANAGERS!

I was told that because my homeowners insurance was paying the claim that I was waiting the work to be redone or to be refunded so I could "double dip!" NO, I WANT MY HOUSE BACK! I get making mistakes, but fix it! Don't blame the customers! Don't scream at me when I asked for you to come fix your screwup. I asked for a refund because I didn't want them touching my house again!

I was told that if I wanted to contact their attorney I had to "go find them on Google!" WTH does that mean?!?! Just so you know, there is NOTHING like that listed on your site, so get your facts straight! Please fix my house or refund me! Make it right! The concrete they put down froze and it is crumbling all over the place. The step they had to take out and then put a new one back in is now crumbling.

They did not complete the concrete work correctly. I have EVERYTHING on my security cameras and audio of these guys being disrespectful. Yep we can hear you and see EVERY INSULTING WORD and ACTION to do and did to my house! I had mangers and employees who have been consistently rude and I still don't have work completed and fixed and this has been ongoing with different problems every month since they "completed" the work in January.

I was pregnant and the smell from the drains was so bad I had to stay at a hotel, while these guys took their time to even start on the work. I was in a hotel for over a week WAITING for the work to even start! I later miscarried our multiples, and I thought the work was done and then the spring came and then there were MORE AND MORE problems! The guys said they would come back and "fix" it! JUST WOW!

There is so much wrong, I hope they will do the right thing and fix my house back to where it was. My HOA is down my throat trying to ensure that I have my house back to where it was before, where this has been going on for MONTHS! I have been told for months that the work was completed, then I was told that the work was going to be fixed and they would "put me on their schedule" WTH no fix what your mess or refund me my money!

They refuse to give me anything in writing, they are refusing to allow my sprinkler man to be on l site when they are "fixing" the work. I am the customer! I hired YOU! So come do the work right, and maybe I'll change my review! AND I SWEAR. if you leave a review message saying to call you, or trust me I already have and I NEVER get returned calls!

If you wanna run a business DO IT RIGHT! You call me back, because I'm the customer and this is not satisfactory work! Update : The work was completed to my satisfaction but it took months in order to make this process occur correctly. I change my review to a two star because the second crew that came out did a great job and cleaning up the mess and fixing everything that was wrong from the first crew.

I am writing this so the world know of the shady business practices that this company does. Your company Action Plumbing ripped my sweet 90 year old aunt off by charging her the exorbitant price of $429 to replace the float and the other parts in her toilet tank. I hope you can live with looking in the mirror at yourself. I bet you don't have the balls to post the receipt for this job so the world can see.

Called them to check the Garbage disposal that not working, after he looked at it, he said : it need to be replaced. He gave me 3 kinds, one cost $425, and standard $666. And the last one 800 something I said ok. I will go with the second one $666. while installing it. I checked the price @ homededepot, found the exact same product for $109. that mean they charge $557 to replace it!. After I discussed that with him he made the price down to 580! And I should be happy :. It was a mistake and I paid for it.
