They couldn't care less about you. we were with them for 30 years and when we needed them to honor our warranty they ignored us like we were nobody. They have no loyalty and they don't know what they are dping management wise. Their workers used to be great and you still might get a good one but don't count on it. They work on commission so they will try to gouge you every chance they get. We fell for it for years and we're loyal customers but in the end that meant nothing to them. Beware

I have a maintenance contract with 2nd Wind. They visit my home quarterly to inspect and maintain my HVAC system. Their communication is timely. The in-house and field personnel are professional, courteous, and responsive. This is the second time Cedrick has come out to replace my filters and inspect my heater and air conditioning. He's always polite and willing to explain the steps he's taking to keep my system running as expected. I appreciate the service and the value I receive. I highly recommend this business.

We just had Cedric come to our home. He was very polite. He performed our service required by our maintenance agreement and he was very thorough. He discovered that our coil was icing up. We wondered why our energy bill was going up, that explains it. Another service tech was sent out for a second opinion. they were prompt, clean, polite and very thorough. Friday the 13th was indeed an unlucky day for us, for our old Goodman unit simply imploded and was beyond repair. On the lucky side, we had a long-standing contract with 2nd Wind and service tech Robert Morgan was quickly dispatched to the scene. In short order we had a contract for a new Tempstar unit, but on the downside, it could not be installed until Monday.

To make it through a very hot weekend, service tach Morgan brought us two window units for our bedrooms. Then first thing on Monday morning, service techs Dustin and Jervet showed up to begin the install. Unfortunately, this was just about the time that tropical storm Fred was sending bad weather through our area. Yet in spite of the poor weather conditions, the unit was finally installed by Tuesday and we finally had a cool house once again.

The 2nd Wind service staff were professional, knowledgeable, and most importantly, supportive in our time of need. I would highly recommend 2nd Wind and their service contact.

Have been using 2nd Wind for almost 20 years. Five years ago they replaced my AC unit, installed a full duct system. Work was done well and cleanup was perfect. Installation techs were professional and well trained. Supervisor was on site for almost the entire job. Prior to the replacement they maintained my previous unit and I had no trouble with it except for an electrical problem early on. Parts needed for the repair were not quickly available but the tech constructed a replacement.

They observe all the steps needed to protect their customers during the current pandemic. The maintenance techs are polite and will take time to describe their findings. They are not the cheapest out there but you usually get what you pay for.

2nd Wind installed a new HVAC for me in October. Jason, Dusty and Don worked hard and did an excellent job. After installation, Rusty did inspection of unit. He was very knowledgeable and thorough. He took the time to fill in serial numbers for rebate paperwork which was appreciated. Sammy Freeman gave recommendation for type of unit and made loan process very smooth. CAVEAT EMPTOR I have always felt Second Wind was dishonest with us over the years of taking care of our AC/Heating units. It was merely a gut reaction. Their demeanor, unctuous, and almost stereotypically "used-car-salesmen-like, " not all of them, just most of them. Nearly any visit from Second Wind ended with a $400-$800 bill. They recently came to look at one of the AC units and after a few hours left us with a basic proposal for repair, but in the end we will need a new unit.

They then sent a "comfort advisor" to talk to us for an hour or so. If your business is hospice, hospital, funeral director, or religious, it's ok to have a "comfort advisor." If you're a heating and AC company, you may as well advertise that you're screwing people over financially. The "Comfort Advisor" offered to repair the AC unit for well over $2000.

A whole new unit would cost $7416. I know nothing about compressors, flow filters, heat pump split systems, but I do know bull$h*+ when I see it. We got a second opinion. The owner of the other company came over, looked at the unit and sat us down and told us what he could do for us. And he gave us the estimated costs, which were half that of Second Wind's.

I then slid over Second Wind's proposal to him. He was, to say the least, rather gobsmacked. He explained that Second Wind was going to put in a model that is basically a contract model -- a lower grade unit than what he can offer. He said, "They're a larger company than mine, you would think they would get better brands for a lot cheaper." He also explained that Second Wind repairmen (they have always been men) get commission for parts, which clearly leads to "this needs to be replaced" conversations they have had with us over the years.

In fact, the refrigerant they put in the AC unit has actually strained the system leading to malfunction. So save yourself angst and money and use any other company. And don't be afraid to ask for second opinions.

We've been using 2nd Wind since around 2011 and we can't imagine using anyone else. Prior to using 2nd Wind we called a few other companies. Of all the companies 2nd Wind seemed to have the most professional, knowledgeable and honest technicians. I myself am trained in electronics, HVAC and engineering principles via the Air Force. A couple previous HVAC technicians from other companies attempted to troubleshoot our systems and came up with some pretty audacious untruths to get more money from us.

Once I notified them I've worked on more complex systems than them they immediately attempted to walk back their previous statements. Due to these types of people in the HVAC world many people get ripped off. Fortunately I've never had this happen with 2nd Wind. We've been using 2nd Wind for 7 years now and will continue to do so exactly because their technicians and staff are honest and fair people. You never have to worry about getting anything but the best solution to your HVAC problems and the best care.
